The VSO Burning software locked up when finalizing. Works great with nero though. Very fast, reliable and quiet. Faster transfer speeds with SATA! Great price!

This is a good drive I actually have two DVDs. The other is the same just without lightscribe. Samsung makes a good drive that is quiet and fast. The low price was a bonus. I haven't burned anything yet but no problems reading.

This was one of the highest rated DVD drives at the time I purchased this drive. Fast, and reliable burns. Good copy protection backup support, and includes lightscribe.

the drive works great! however .... the label software would not work. I had to un-install it & install my previous burning software. then, I had to go online to find a stripped-down version of label software to burn the DVD label. I was less than impressed!

After some akward moments of installation, this work rather well! Using it with my Windows 7 upgrade and seems to run fine!

Got this drive because it was cheap and I figured having light scribe couldn't be a bad thing. I like it, simply because it does what it should when it should. I am not asking for more from it. So far I can say I have no really noticed it, so I guess I can say its quiet, but I have not looked at that feature particularly.

Works as it should and does what it should. Accepts the 22x DVD-R discs without a problem (which is nice - my old burner didn't like them).

The Samsung is one of the fastest buring DVD rom out there even though it was built in 2008. It buffers at 18x by using a 16x DVD CD. So far i've been gasping my breath because I was afraid it would give up on me but so far it's been a week and it's been okay. I tested it as much as I could and it seems to work fine, I've just haven't tested lightscribe yet but i'm sure that would work as well. Take my advice buyers, every DVD burner has a chance to be a faulty one, so don't take your chance by installing it and just leaving it in your case, test it first. So far it's been awesome because of the burning speed, I say it's totally worth it, I mean for 30 bucks what do you really expect?

As every other DVD burner it does what it should and it gets the job done. Compared to other drives I cannot tell a difference. When I purchased this I just selected the cheapest one. It has LightScribe yet I have yet to test it...do Dual Layer LightScribe DVDs exist?

What can you say about a burner? Does what it is supposed to do and is about average in terms of performance. Get it on sale so save dollars.

Haven't had any problems yet, and i got it for cheap during a weekly sale. And although I've never use the Light-Scribe function, its nice to know it there.

The current reigning king per Maximum PC, this is a great unit. Fast and powered by SATA, so no messy cables. Looks great in an all black case.

this unit Works well, is silent, and fast. Since its SATA, you wont need any IDE cable in your computer. Its very cheap. You cant go wrong with it.

If you want a good budget lightscribe burner, get this one, it's cheap, fast and very quiet for a burner. However, I would advise against upgrading the firmware.

Got this for a build. Black to match case. Sata for better looks and cable management. IDE is not good looking at all. Cheap.

There is not much to say about this burner - works well for the price and has lightscribe which is wicked. I would buy again for future builds

I bought this despite the lack of reviews and I do not regret it. It does what every other burner does and with a pricematch I got it for about the same price as a non-lightscribe model.No errors so far, no coasters.I recently bought a second.

already my 3rd drive that i've purchased and i still love it. for $30 you can't go wrong with a lightscribe sata dvd burner. never had a problem with error on dvd burning either.

This is a pretty nice drive. Not much to add, but it works and it's like any other CD/DVD drive I've owned in the past, although I still prefer Pioneer. I had to price match in order to get a good deal. This model also comes with lightscribe, though I don't need it, I got it since it was only a few cents more than the model without lightscribe.

Not really much to say here, it works, and that is all you could really ask out of an optical drive these days.Haven't tried the lightscribe and probably never will. Thankfully it was price matched cheaper than the non lightscribe version.
