128GB SSDNOW V-SERIES SATA2 2.5
Cons:Price, Cheap Jmicron Controller, Firmware cannot be updated(No TRIM)
Pros:No noise, Low heat output, Low power consumption |
Windows boot up time has been almost halved frommy 7200RPM 2.5" HDD in my laptop. However, although many reviewers and Kingstonclaim that stuttering issues of the cheap jmicron controller to be fixed, I beg to differ.I have had various stuttering issues when Gaming,in comparison to no stuttering when I had a HDDon my laptop. On the other hand, load ups are faster. Also, this SSD's firmware cannot be updated, thusthe likes of helpful applications such as Wiper.exe, or TRIM function featured in Windows 7 will be of no use.Only recommendable if you have a low budget and youcan't constrain yourself to wait a month or two for better SSDs that'll fall within the same price range.
