We purchased this machine to save some desk space and have a large screen. The primary use for the computer is veiwing and editing spread sheets and web documents. Setup was easy with the computer and also the keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is small with no number keypad. We did purchase a wireless 10 keypad to use with data entry. This could be an option to replace some more work stations. |
What we've got here is a computer that is pretty clear about its role: a budget system meant for a simple yet impressive array of communication applications. The webcam and integrated mic are a nice touch, though what grabbed me about it was the ION-powered video, which is supposed to perform hardware decoding of h264 - No blu-ray out of the box, but apparently capable of it. I was more interested in using it as a TV replacement, however. Adding a Hauppauge 950q and a magicjack has enabled the computer to function very well as a replacement for the old computer and television. This is a great little system that packs plenty of features, performance, and reliability in a small footprint.
