5PK X25M 80GB 2.5IN SSD MLC G2
Cons:
- Low capacity
Pros: - Super Fast- Silent- Small- Lower power Comment:
This is the most important upgrade that I have made in recent years. Of course a better video card does improve gaming performance but what about regular software? SSD is really a revolution. My PC feels much more snappier. I bought a cheapo/high capacity hard-drive for my secondary drive. This is really a winning setup. |

5PK X25M 80GB 2.5IN SSD MLC G2
Cons:
-OCZ Vertex 2 may sometimes have better value (and speed)-Otherwise, none at all!
Pros: -Lightning fast-Optimized for Windows 7-Great boot drive Comment:
This thing is fast. 'Nuff said.I've been with this SSD for exactly 2 months by now. It's not the best value at default price but I matched it to the sale price at Newegg ($220) during the day of purchase and got a fairly good deal for it.I'd take the OCZ Vertex 2 (especially the 50GB that was on sale for just $150 very recently) over this though, but I don't think it was out yet. I'm happy anyways. |

Cons:
Let you know if I find any
Pros: SpeedNo noise Comment:
Coming from a Raptor for my previous OS drive, and all I can say is WOW! I can't believe the difference an SSD makes, and all I can say is I'll never go back to a mechanical drive.I have Win 7 Pro 64 installed on this without issue. Windows experience index reads 7.7 for the drive (AHCI mode)(7.5 in IDE mode).Don't forget to run SSD tweaker and turn off defrag if you get one.If you're thinking about getting one, do it and you won't regret it. Just get a second drive for storage is you're worried about running out of space. |

Unbelievably FAST
Comment:
Wow, I never review anything but here I will make an exception. I am afraid to say how much faster the laptop boots and accesses programs due to being accused of exaggerating. I have to say it's 4 times faster but its really more like 8 time faster. I am impressed. It worth every penny. |

Not Bad
Comment:
i have several SSD's only complainant is the slower read speeds compared to other SSD's of the same size. however for the price, size of the drive and the read speeds this SSD is very quick at loading the OS and programsand is a major improvement from a HDD |

5PK X25M 80GB 2.5IN SSD MLC G2
Cons:
none so far
Pros: fast, easy to install, absolutely silent Comment:
What an incredible update to my system! Installed win 7 x64 flawlessly. Using this as the main boot drive and core programs..from power up button to full windows 7 in 15-20 seconds. Fast backup and verification to my rdx backup drive. Once you have one of these, it would be very difficult to go back to a mechanical hd. Highly recommended. |

Fast, Fast, Fast
Comment:
Maybethis thing just appears fast beacuase my other computer is a tired old dog. But what ever the case, I have been using it now for a week and once windows starts loading, pull out the stop watch becuase you wont believe how fast this drive starts windows. Of coarse I have this drive in a brand new AMD with 8GIgs of ddr3 1600 ram and of which I am begining to overclock. However, I do believe that a good part of the fast start up time is due to this here baby. |

Well worth the extra cost for security and speed!
Comment:
I totally understand why most other guys rated this product's value at a 4. I wouldn't want to pay so much for superb quality and speed either - it should be the norm by now! But the way I see it, if these drives last two or three times as long as the spindle drives, but I have to pay two or three times as much, so be it. It is just more money up front - kinda like buying a Toyota instead of a Chevy. If you can afford it, do it! |

Quality SSD
Comment:
Using as a boot drive for Windows 7. Excellent performance. You will need to update firmware for best performance. Price is still a little high, but you are buying a quality SSD that will speed up any system. |

Fast loading
Comment:
I installed this as my OS and programs drive. Program loading is excellent - they pop right up. Most application I work with are about the same once they are open. For me it works well but at the current prices it's a bit of a luxury. |

Best SSD money can buy
Comment:
This SSD is much better than the Patriot Torqx drive I previously tried. Patriot's 64GB Torqx drive caused so much stuttering under Windows 7 my computer was unusable. Intel includes a 3.5-inch mounting kit that has the screw holes in the standard locations. Patriot moved the screw holes over so they could put their logo on the mount. As a result Patriot Torqx drives don't fit in industry standard 3.5-inch drive bays like the ones used in Antec P180 cases. Also, while everyone else is offering 64GB SSD's for $250-$300 Intel is offering 80GB of space. The only faster fixed disk drives available are Intel's SLC flash memory drives. |

5PK X25M 80GB 2.5IN SSD MLC G2
Cons:
Price. These are still costly for the size.
Pros: Incredible speed.Near instant response loading applications. Comment:
I put this in a 2009 Mac Mini as a boot drive. This is an amazing upgrade. Small applications load instantly, while others that used to be pigs are much improved. Word 2008 takes 2 seconds, Photoshop CS4 takes about 5 seconds. A great improvement from the OEM hard drive. |

Cons:
SSD pricing in general
Pros: Fast, realiable, one of the best controller out there Comment:
If you never tried SSD and want a proven controller intel is surely the way to go. Intel did come with an amazing product here, and if you can get it on sale, go for it ! |

Buy one now!
Comment:
I am absolutely amazed at the difference this drive makes with Windows. I thought I had a pretty fast HD system (7200rpm X 2 in RAID 0). While the throughput is close to the RAID 0 config, the latency of the SSD is measured in microseconds instead of milliseconds. Latency is the key. Buy one of these for the OS & Programs drive and put everything else on a fast traditional HD. You'll quickly get past all the $ per GB costs. You are buy speed, not storage capacity with this drive. Well worth every penny. |

5PK X25M 80GB 2.5IN SSD MLC G2
Cons:
Price, but these are SSDs and will be high for a while.
Pros: Fast, Very Fast. Ample storage for most boot disks. Comment:
Picked it up during the Black Friday sale. Once it shipped, I received it fast. Like less than 24 hours fast. This is the retail drive, so you also get the 2.5" to 3.5" adapter if your installing in a desktop. Installation is as simple as it gets and speed improvements are noticeable instantly. Applications load much faster. From Firefox to Adobe suite of apps, everything loads and opens up in no time. If you have a high end desktop but no SSD, chances are your holding your system back. When it comes to upgrade, it's not an i7 or HD 5970 that's going to yield the biggest improvement, it's an Intel SSD. |

Get yourself one of these. It makes a substantial, immediate difference in your computer speed. My wife wanted a faster computer. She has a seven year old AMD based PC. I bought one for her computer and one for mine. I really like mine and she has decided against getting a new computer. |

Not a weakness nor NCIX, but the drive was bricked after applied the Intel firmware to enable the ATA Trim feature

5PK X25M 80GB 2.5IN SSD MLC G2
Cons:
none, very nice 3.5" adapter tad simple for 90 degree sata.
Pros: Large storage, very fast Comment:
Mine arrived on Monday, Install very fast, very happy to have an Intel SSD. I found myself using the old 50nm SSDs in raid for the USERS folder. The 80gig Intel drive has more than enough space for my programs. Although I found no manual on SATA port channels for the x58 mobo, I did have that working after only a couple of tries. |
I tried the Vertex 2 first which die on the first day and get very bad support experience on their forum. And was later found that they are shipping product of known data loss issue. This x25m is completely different. Works out of the box, good support utility(to handle possible long term use performance degrade and also track life of the device) and it is fastncix service is also top notch
