Cost to overall performance- 8 Gb of 1300Mhz for ๳ w/ a CAS of 7 and timings of 7-7-7-20 rock solid (for AMD you should set it to this timing manually) Kingston- Nuff StatedTons o OC headroom- (which brings you back to the complete Value to performance factor once again) Had to set up only a single stick in the slot, re-boot, then shut down and then set up the other 3 sticks, no big hassle Just get/have a mobo that can OC along side this RAM and be pleased.MSI 890 GXM-G65AMD II 4x 965Radeon Sapphire 6950

by-passed receiving expensive "hp" branded ram and upgraded a customers desktop to 8gb's. none I forgot to run a cpu-z check to see what speeds the method is operating the ram. Once I get that data I will update this post. Gmail or facebook msg me by way of my nickname with questions or comments.

It did initialize as 8GB of memory. Memory tends to have various compatibility on unique systems; nevertheless, this is poorly manufactured memory. I returned the initial set I received due to random reboots (thanks Newegg!), and considering that I received a second set I nonetheless have the same random reboots. Upon troubleshooting employing a memory tester (Memtest86+), I discovered this memory will not run at the manufacturer's rating with no errors. I had to run at 1066MHz utilizing CAS7 Ɨ-7-7-20), and dual channel interleave disabled, in order for this memory to pass Memtest86+. My other memory (Crucial Ballistix) works perfectly in the very same Computer (e.g. no memory errors in Memtest86+, at lower latency & higher speeds). This memory is rated at 7-7-7-20, 1333MHz, at 1.65vDC. These specs do not work with this memory. I normally like Kingston Hyper-X memory, but two DOA sets of Hyper-X?! Also a lot, buyer beware. These are priced cheaply for a purpose - they are! Shame on Newegg for passing on low-high quality memory.

This ram kit is wonderful. I am operating it on a M4a79T Deluxe with an AMD Phenom II X4 925 oced @ three.three. The kit worked really very good at stock plug-and-play. I overclocked my cpu and then set the latencys on the memory to 7-7-7-20-1 and it is running at 1333Mhz flawlessly. None. I loved the way it smelled when I opened it :D

This is the greatest of each worlds, it takes the low latency of a 1333 module, and combines it with the high bandwidth of a 10600 module. If this is a con; my Asus board was confused about this RAM and set it's voltage as well low. Don't set this as 1333 on your mainboard, your mainboard will see it as 10600. Setting it as 1333 with the voltage as 1.65 will result in it to crash. Leave the setting on auto, which will see it as 10600, then manually set the voltage to 1.65. That will repair it and preserve the 7-7-7 latency

Functions with ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard and that's all that matters. None I often invest in Kingston memory. Never ever had a chip go bad.

Quick RAM, no defective sticks. None Haven't been able to completely test the RAM but, but will as soon as I start off using Right after Effects. This is a superior package for an Intel slimline PC, as it matches the bus speed, fills all 4 slots, and maxes the amount of useable RAM.

Has a heat spreader? I'm very disappointed in this memory. I bought 12 GB Ɩ sticks) for use in upgrades of three Dell Optiplex 780 systems Ɣ GB per method). Regrettably, the Dell's only detect it at 1066 speeds, and there's no way to change that in BIOS. Windows WEI (using Win7 Pro 64-bit) only rates this memory at five.9, even the stock memory modules that came with the systems report at 7.2. CPU-Z shows comparable low performance numbers. I understand I'm using this on Dell's, with no way to adjust timings or other factors in BIOS, but even the stock memory performed a lot quicker than these modules did, in all 3 systems. :(

This memory has been working great for me. My motherboard detected the memory settings as 9-9-9 by default. I tried once to configure the memory for 7-7-7-20 but it crashed my system almost immediately. I'll have to play with it a bit to find the optimum settings for my board. Still I'm very happy with this memory's performance even at the defaults.

This memory needs to be configured in a computer's bios before it runs at 1333mhz with a CAS latency of 7. The actual configuration is dependent on one's motherboard but one will need to increase memory voltage from 1.5v to 1.65v and maybe manually set the CL.
