ADATA AC103-16G-RBK 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:- Size of the drive is bigger than the average at this day in age- Design is pretty plain and no frills
Pros:- Got it on sale so the price was great for a 16GB at the time- USB3.0 and using it to transfer files, it does look to be a lot faster than USB2.0 but I do not have definitive speed tests to back that up Comment:
- I use this to transfer files from computer to computer mainly and the transfer speeds look to be faster than my older USB2.0 devices |

ADATA AC103-16G-RBK 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:Poor write speed in both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0No drive activity lightFlimsy construction
Pros:USB 3.0Read speed actually tests very close to rated speedCheapReads fast even in USB 2.0Capless Comment:
I tested speeds using Ubuntu's Disk Utility.I was quite surprised when this drive tested close to what the manufacturer stated in USB 3.0:Minimum read rate: 84.7 MB/sMaximum read rate: 92.0 MB/sAverage read rate: 88.9 MB/sThe manufacturer states 90 MB/s...for all intents and purposes this does meet it.Heck, even in USB 2.0 this thing is fast:Minimum read rate: 37.5 MB/sMaximum read rate: 39.3 MB/sAverage read rate: 38.8 MB/sThat's more or less saturating a USB 2.0 link. It's the same as my ADATA 8 GB USB 2.0 flash drive (C008-8G-RKD, SKU 62820).It's write speeds that are disappointing though. In USB 3.0:Minimum write rate: 3.1 MB/sMaximum write rate: 16.9 MB/sAverage write rate: 6.1 MB/sA far cry from the manufacturer's stated 10 MB/s. USB 2.0 write speeds are obviously worse:Minimum write rate: 1.8 MB/sMaximum write rate: 32.2 MB/sAverage write rate: 5.1 MB/sStill, I can't really complain for the price. It's only a few dollars more than a USB 2.0 drive. It would have been nice to get a drive activity light though, I find that feature really useful installing Linux over USB - at least if the installer seems to freeze up you can tell if the drive is still being accessed or not (meaning the installer is still working). The drive is also very flimsy, you can easily bend it. It seems a little long, it's longer than the other ADATA drive I have. It's capless, the whole port slides into the body of the drive. There's a small slider on the side. My other ADATA drive has a much bigger slider on the top that's easier to use. When extended, the port does lock into place nicely - it feels like it might slide back as you push the drive into the socket but it holds. All in all, a nice introduction to USB 3.0, if only for read speeds. |

ADATA AC103-16G-RBK 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:-Reliability-Size-RELIABILITY!!
Pros:-Speed-Price Comment:
I've have had an unfortunate experience with this product. Read speed through USB 3 is very good; however, in less than 1 month, 2 of these have died on me. I have yet to have a USB flash drive die on me before, none of them have been ADATA though (I still have 32MB USB sticks still working).ADATA's warranty service have been understanding, this second RMA they agreed to cross-ship. |

ADATA AC103-16G-RBK 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:none so far
Pros:price on sales , good speed Comment:
Picked 2 of these on sale and they work fine. As said before , fast enough for USB3 but guess other drives might be faster. Fast enough for my uses as often it gets written at USB 3 and then read at USB 2 speeds. |

ADATA AC103-16G-RBK 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:plastic is flimsy
Pros:cheap and really fast rates Comment:
I was able to get the advertised read and write speeds transferring data, which is great, and the price is really good, but be advised, this thing is flimsy. I could easily snap the thing in half with my hands, and the little plastic slider piece that pushes out the usb end doesn't lock very well... ill probably end up having to glue the thing permanently out eventually.but still, for the price and the speed you get, its a great stick if your able to handle your stuff with care. |

Picked one of these up during the boxing week sale. I bought it because it was cheap but ended up using it to do a disc-less install of Windows 7 and it worked great!I haven't used it much otherwise, but everything worked fine. |

ADATA AC103-16G-RBK 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:Build quality
Pros:Price, size, USB 3.0, sufficient read/write Comment:
Simply a great product because of its low cost. At a storage maximum of 16GB (14.7 formatted), with slightly higher read/write in 3.0, nothing compares. Its a little flimsy though and has a pretty bland form factor. |

ADATA AC103-16G-RBK 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:Questioning durability
Pros:Cheap, USB3 Comment:
The key itself feels really light and I question its durability in the long term. Fast enough for USB3 and the price is good. It is a USB flash drive, what else can I say. It works it works. |

ADATA AC103-16G-RBK 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:Casing seems a little flimsy
Pros:Cheap for a 16GB 3.0 USBNo cap/retractable port Comment:
I bought this on boxing day for $13.99 and speeds seem decent especially for the low price. I wouldn't be too rough with this since the casing seems to be rather less hardy than the other usb flash drives I own from PNY and Corsair. If you catch this on sale snap one up! |

ADATA AC103-16G-RBK 16GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:-One of the slower USB 3.0 sticks, but for the price, I don't care (it's not a Mushkin Ventura Pro, that cost much more $$$)-Questionable brand? However, I noticed I had been using ADATA's 1GB myflash drive before (it didn't have ADATA branding on it)
Pros:-16 gigs for $14, not bad considering this is a USB 3.0 stick-Retractable (capless)-No LED light indicator (that means no annoying blinks)-Stylish? At least it looks like it is less bulkier than good USB drives like Xporter XT Comment:
Picked up one of these on Boxing Day. This is probably the cheapest USB 3.0 flash drive you can find on NCIX (at time of review). Checked the ADATA website and it says this has 90MB/s read and 10MB/s write. The write speed is lackluster for USB 3.0, but I don't care for the low price. |
Actually I just decided to write a review about it, after my mom accidentally washed the usb drive along with the shorts they were in. I dried it and it still works fine! It fell out and got stuck between the rubber parts, so it didn't go into the dryer :). So it is quite durable and possibly waterproof. All in all it works as well as any usb drive. It's quite fast, but not as fast as USB3 was promised to be. I am guessing because it's so cheap it's probably on the slower side. I get about 10-15mb/s write speeds on average. I'd put it at the same speed as a fast USB2 drive. That's kind of the only qualm I have with it. For the price it's quite good though. I got it one sale quite a while ago.
