ADATA AC103-8G-RBK 8GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:Reading isn't much faster on USB3, and write is the same for USB2 or 3.
Pros:It works reasonably well for the sale price. Comment:
HD Tune gives it 55MB/s read on USB3 and 30 on USB2. Writes are about 5-7 no matter which USB. |

ADATA AC103-8G-RBK 8GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:slow, not what I expected from USB 3.0 (slower than my older USB 2.0 device)
Pros:Good size storage (8 GB) for the priceThe design is simple Comment:
Overall a good flash drive for the price when it is on sale. The locking mechanism for the dongle is weak and can be pushed back in (even when locked). I would buy it for the cost/GB of storage rather than for the speed. |

ADATA AC103-8G-RBK 8GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:Write speedCheap
Pros:Read speedCheap Comment:
First off: I would give this product 2 stars but can't because it was purchased in store (no order ID). $9 for a USB3 drive seemed like a deal. I couldn't believe the manufacture's spec of 90MB/s Read and 10MB/s Write. Well, my suspicions were confirmed in the worst way. Using ATTO Disk Benchmark, Read speed was 55MB/s, and Write was 5.7MB/s, average. I don't know how they built a USB3 drive with a slower write speed than a lot of USB2 drives. I guess it's useful if you mostly want to read off this drive. |

ADATA AC103-8G-RBK 8GB USB3.0 Flash Drive
Cons:Little bit flimsy (but its not going to break easily)
Pros:The drive is fast, cheap, pretty small and looks pretty nice. Comment:
I bought this drive to install Windows 7 and move some files between computers. When I purchased it, I was sceptic of the quality of the drive, due to lack of reviews and price, but it turned out to work well. The disc transfer rate seems to cap around 35 MB/s a second averaging around 30 MB/s. On USB 2.0 ports it transfers around 5-7 MB/s.I would highly recommend this drive. |
Bought for $7.99. Need a USB to install win7 from. Did the job and can use it for isos down the road.
