ADATA C008-8G-KDR 8GB USB2.0 Flash Drive
Cons:No drive activity lightNo lanyard
Pros:CheapReasonably fastDurableNice retractable plug design Comment:
On sale, this is a great deal.Using Ubuntu Linux 11.04's Disk Utility benchmarking application, it tests at:22.2 MB/s minimum read39.3 MB/s maximum read38.6 MB/s average read38.6 MB/s = 308.8 Mbps - in practical terms, you can't get all that much faster over USB2 despite USB2's 480 Mbps speed rating. Of course this is a synthetic benchmark. The drive arrived in a perfect working state despite the box being heavily damaged by the courier. It's one of those nice retractable plug designs, saving space and not requiring a cap. There are few other bells and whistles, but it's a reasonably fast, durable flash drive especially for the price. |
Bought 6 at the same time and they all still work on a daily basis.
