ADATA SP600 2.5" 256GB SATA3 SSD 480MB/SEC Read 250MB/SEC
Cons:- Speed (I don't game, so not significantly slower for my daily usage)
Pros:- Price- Comes with Desktop adapter- Works with my Lenovo Y550 laptop Comment:
I bought this mainly because the first 2 SSDs (Intel 730 Series 480GB and 240GB) failed to work on my Lenovo Y550 laptop. This is a decent replacement of Intel 320 series 120GB that is currently installed on my laptop. |

ADATA SP600 2.5" 256GB SATA3 SSD 480MB/SEC Read 250MB/SEC
Cons:Speeds are not as fast as other higher priced SSD's
Pros:Faster than standard spin drives. Came with bracket. Affordable price Comment:
If you want your computer to boot faster or give an old computer a new speed boost. Get this drive. It definately is faster than most spin drives. I put it in my secondary computer to replace it's current spin-boot device drive. Although it's read / write speed is not as fast as my other drive (Crucial M4). I would recommend this to anyone that wants to make the leap to SSD's and not spend a fortune. This drive would be a good place to start to see if you like SSD's without losing your shirt over it. Be sure to enable TRIM & google "Getting the most out of your SSD" to take steps to prolong your SSD's lifespan. |

ADATA SP600 2.5" 256GB SATA3 SSD 480MB/SEC Read 250MB/SEC
Cons:Defective SATA.
Pros:Works in OWC Firewire/USB3 case. Comment:
Do NOT buy this if you intend to use it in older equipment (i.e., SATA 1.5Gb). The drive's SATA implementation is defective - it should be backwards compatible with all SATA versions, but it isn't with this one. Not impressed. Makes you wonder what else is wrong with it...Perhaps NCIX will offer me a partial refund. At least to the current sale price, don't you think? This review was modfied by poster @ 04-15-14 08:09 AM |

Got to like adata for its softwares - external trim and migration:http://www.adata.com/index.php?action=ss_main&page=ss_software_6&lan=en |
My boot spin disk crapped out on me the night before so picked this up today; my first SSD. I got it as I liked the how this 256GB one was priced. No adapter bracket but the guys at the Burnaby location hooked me up with a $5 one.Plugged in and was recognized like a spin disk. It's almost eerie how SSD's are noiseless compared to spin disks.I wasn't *too* concerned with speed as I needed it to be SATA2 compatible anyway, which it is and my computer's main use is a media centre (no gaming in my case). But it's strange, some programs take just as long to install as a spin disk while others install in seemingly seconds. Also some downloads seem to take just as long to write as a spin disk, while again other downloads write in seconds. I'm up and running again and just downloading another batch of updates, so the hard part's over with I guess...
