I looked around for low profile Ram, came across this product. Dig some research and seems product is good. AData is not famous brand compare other brands but RAM is RAM not much you can do about it. Overall I like it. |

Paid about 80 $ for those. Love the fact they don't have huge heatsink (important if you have a huge cpu cooler) |

ADATA Xpg V1.0 8GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 2 X 4GB Dual Channel Memory Kit Black
Cons:Both modules were dead on arrival...
Pros:Looks nice... Looks awesome in fact.Low profile heat spreaders leave some clearance between my CPU heatsink and the RAM modules. Comment:
The shipping time felt like it took forever, but it was delivered in a timely manner. No complaints there, but to wait all that time and receive your hardware DOA? My heart sankI guess there's a first time for everything. This has been my first purchase from NCIX, and I can hardly blame them for faulty hardware, but I do hope their RMA process is only as lengthy as the previous shipping time. |

ADATA Xpg V1.0 8GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 2 X 4GB Dual Channel Memory Kit Black
Cons:-Relatively unknown brand at the moment-Nothing else really
Pros:-Affordable-Good looks-Functions well Comment:
I used this kit as a starting point for a budget gaming PC. Works well, item was exactly what I expected, and it has a nice look to it. Originally I intended to go with a RAM kit that was 20-40 bucks more but after failing to procure a reasonable collection of negative reviews for ADATA RAM products I purchased this kit. No regrets so far. If you need quality modern RAM for a reasonable price, buy ADATA. 10/10 would buy again. |

ADATA Xpg V1.0 8GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 2 X 4GB Dual Channel Memory Kit Black
Cons:none (performance-wise). Difficult to register on manufacturer website
Pros:Runs at its rated speed. Adheres to XMP/AMP profiles. Nice looking heatsink not too tall. Cheaper than most Comment:
Never used ADATA components before so I was generally apprehensive. However, all similar density modules were about $20 more. Pleasantly surprised that the unit performed at expected speeds. Ran OCCT linpack with max memory usage for a few hours and these performed flawlessly. I'm definitely going to use these as an alternative whenever the more brand-known products are unavailable or not on sale. The heatsink markings, color and design are actually nicer than some pricier modules.I do not think registration was mandatory but the packaging claims free software for registered users. Do not use the link provided on the packaging. Just go to www.adata-group.com. select the correct drop down boxes (This is where it gets tricky because the product select ion do not match the actual item description). Anyway, once you've got it figured out, you will gain access to SSDToolbox, Acronis TrueImage disk migration, OStoGo, HDDtoGo and UFDtoGo among others. I believe these version are specific and customized for adata products but if you think you need the software, then these might work for you (added Apr21)Strangely, Windows 8.1 gives it a WEI rating of 8.2 compared to 7.9 for a set of Corsair LP CML8GX3M2A1600C9 (same timings/XMP/same voltages). I swapped and retested a few times using ChrisPC Wei. I don't expect WEI on Win8/8.1 to be any different or any accurate than Win7 but the discrepancy is huge. I did not do any further benches using other synthetics as I was just curious how Windows would rate the components on the system This review was modfied by poster i 04-21-14 10:25 PM This review was modfied by poster @ 04-21-14 10:53 PM |

ADATA Xpg V1.0 8GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 2 X 4GB Dual Channel Memory Kit Black
Cons:n/a
Pros:It's RAM, it works Comment:
Was very cheap for 2X4Gb of DDR3-1600 CL9 1.5V RAM at 80$. It works, it looks good, the packaging was easy to open.Between this, Corsair, Kingston, G.SKill, I'll honestly just go with whichever has the best special. |

ADATA Xpg V1.0 8GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 2 X 4GB Dual Channel Memory Kit Black
Cons:dont know yet, just bought this , need more testing
Pros:got this at 80$, cant find any thing cheaper than this Comment:
i like it , price of ram cost so much, glad i can get this, dont wnat to wait for ram price to drop |
I was in search of solid ram for a new system. I'm 39 yrs old and I prefer function over form and wanted something slim and low profile to be able to fit under large CPU coolers. So glad I chose this one because it barely fits under my Xigmatek Dark Knight CPU cooler. 2-3 mm higer and it would have been too tight. Buy when on sale and forget about the models with huge heatsinks, more trouble than they are worth IMO
