AKG by Harman K 142HD Studio High Definition Semi Open Headphones - Mocca / Sand
Cons:Not noise cancelling (although when playing music you cant hear anything else)

Pros:Lightweight, comfortable, sound amazing

I have a home studio and needed a pair of cans as I just moved into a triplex. A friend of mine showed me a pair of AKG's he had, and for a cheap pair they sounded nice. These are definitely worth the buy, especially at sale price. The frequeny range is very surprising, the lows are damn good, and the sound is crisp clear.

Cons:Not glasses friendly (must wear glasses at a strange downward facing angle or else ears will hurt a lot)Materials feel slightly cheap

Pros:Extremely lightweightCan use for hours on end without ears hurtingDecent for price

I'm not exactly an audio savvy person but if you're looking for headphones under $100 you must buy this when it goes on sale ($98.98 tax and $8 shipping fee included). The bass does sound a little light but it's nothing that can't be fixed by simply tinkering with your EQ settings on your computer (for me, anyway). The headband may seem a little on the flimsy side, having no padding or cushioning of any sort, BUT as soon as you put them on, you'll hardly even notice it on your head. For those with slightly more voluminous hair, the weight of the headphones is light enough that you can barely notice the strip of flattened hair on the top of your head (always a plus right?)The ear pads do feel a little stiff, I would have preferred something softer like the ones on the ATH-M50s but after about an hour of use it will feel a little better. As for the probably irrelevant details:The aesthetic appeal of the headphones could be improved upon in my opinion, I find that the light grey on the outside of the headband could be changed to some other color. As for the outside of the ear cups where the silver part is, I was hoping it to be a little shinier, since it's pretty dull.

Comment:
These are pretty good headphones, especially when they are on sale. They feel pretty good while worn, also relatively light on the head. Voice is great. Music is good, but obviously not on the same playing field as AGK Q701s, my primary pair. Sound better on a good sound card, vs onboard or phone/mp3 player, but the same goes any other mid / high grade haeadphone. In my use, they are more portable than my primary pair so I use them a lot when I'm away from home. So far impressed with all aspects of them, when compared to the competition when on sale especially. I have seen some complain of the "low quality" build, I don't really see that, they are as solid as a pair should really need to be. I should mention that these are ON-ear headphones, although they are large. I had initially thought they were over-ear.
