ALTEC LANSING VS2521 2.1 Speaker System
Cons:
- Mediocre subwoofer, which can produce noticeable distortion at higher volumes.- Both the sub and the satellites are too big for the sound they produce. Funnily enough, Altec Lansing claims that they can maximize desk space, even though the satellites are bigger than those on my high-end Z-5500s.
Pros: + Includes quite a few controls - bass, treble, as well as a headphone and a line-in jack.+ Good satellites.+ Overall sound quiality is satisfying for the price |

I purchased these speakers as part of my first system build. For the price these speakers have very good sound. They don't have that 'tin' sound from cheaper speakers. Low frequency is good and makes them sound better than you would think for the price.The feature I like the best is the space saving design. The speakers clip together and will sit on their sides at an angle below your monitors. I got these as a secondary set of speakers and they have decent enough sound for music and gaming. The highs and mids are pretty good, but the lows are not at the same level. Don't turn the bass too high and they'll do ok.
