Cons:price
Pros:good power and strong heatsink Comment:
This cpu is a definite improvement over my Barton 2500+. The unfortunate thing is that I can't overclock any higher then 3.0 GHz. I think this has to do with my mobo being an Asrock Dual-Sata2. I don't know. It was my dream to hit 3,5 GHz and maybe a better mobo would do that. |

AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 Processor Socket AM2 Windsor 2.8GHZ 2000FSB 2X1MB L2 Cache 125W 90NM Retail Box
Cons:The stock heat sink is weak. Be prepared to buy a Zalman CNPS9500 AM2. Unless you're brave enough to do watercooling. High Speed and Limited Availability are driving the price up, but speed comes with a premium, and eventually the channel will fill up.
Pros:Fast. With the right video card(s) you'll have the best gaming machine in the land (for a while, at least). Comment:
Look for EPP RAM if you are going the nForce 590 chipset route. NCIX Rules. If you want top of the line AMD, this is the way to go. Just a bit pricy... |
This is a superb cpu with all the power you can ask for and is amazing with gameplay, with a lot or ram it is a great killer combo and a great adition to anyones arsenal of wicked fast gaming computers.
