This processor is incredibly cool and uses very little power. I'm running a FreeNAS build with 2 HDDs and the whole system consumes 40 W on average.I don't use this processor for anything other than a fileserver, so I can't comment on how well it does for larger jobs. |
This CPU is for low-power rigs, nothing else.This can be under-clocked to 1Ghz with 5x multiplier. It then uses a total of, get this: TEN WATTS!Will run at 35-40 celsius under 100% load 24/7. I do this without a fan, just an old heat sink zip-tied to the HSF mount.
