The stock heat sink and fan are too large for most M-ITX cases which are used for HTPCs.
Pros: Very easy to install. Nice to have this level of processing power for only a 45W TDP. |

Works perfectly in my HTPC build. It's an energy efficient processor, which is always welcome. Definitely not the fastest processor around, but for an HTPC, it's more than enough to handle everything I need it to. |
I chose this CPU based on a combination of price, speed, cache and power usage/heat production. Yes you can get faster, or cooler, or more cache, or cheaper, but this CPU fit in the sweet spot right in the middle.
