AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:

AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
Not as fast as intel chips mHz for mHz
Pros: Cheap. Fast Comment:
Built a system for a friend. Great buy for an affordable PC with more than enough performance for web browsing and photoshop element. Easy to mix with a cheap Mobo too. Needless to say my friend is a happy camper. Did not even try to activate the 4th CPU. |

Pros: Low operating temperature, Stable overclocker, Unlockable cores, Price. Comment:
Installed this on a friends gaming rig. Super cheap processor that can have exceptional performance , for the price, if you are able to get a stable core unlock. I lucked out! |

AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
4-core versions are often almost as cheap
Pros: Cheap, decent CPU Comment:
These are often super cheap and they do the job well for a lower end system. I don't play around with unlocking so can't comment on that but if you're building a lot of low end systems, this might be one to look out. Keep in mind that you can usually get a 4-core AMD cpu for not much more so that may be the way to go if price isn't the main factor. |

AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
- Stock fan could be better
Pros: - Cheap- 3 cores Comment:
This is a 3-core CPU. For the price, this is a great CPU, especially when all you're doing is word processing or watching movies. Stock fan/heatsink could be better, but for what i'm doing, it's necessary to get a third party heatsink & fan. |

AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
None
Pros: Inexpensive, cheaper than an Intel dual core Comment:
This is ideal for those people who don't want or need a high performance CPU (read: most people). A similarly priced Intel CPU gets you a pretty weak dual core celeron that this CPU will run rings around. I was on the s939 bandwagon, then switched to LGA775, and I think the next one will be AM3 if the price/performance ratio is the same as with this CPU. |

AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
3 cores
Pros: Fast, quiet,cool,64 bit proccessor Comment:
Ive had this processor for a while now it is very quiet, and the temperature is pretty low. The clock speed is pretty high so that is what i like. It is a pretty fast and efficient processor. If your on a tight budget id recommend getting it |

AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
None that I know of.
Pros: 3 cores plus the possibility of unlocking a 4th core.Great value. Comment:
Though I was not able to unlock the 4th core, plenty people was able to do it. I did however, got the L3 cache unlocked (6MBs). Being running foldingihome for about 2 months now, so the computer has been running on full speed for all that time. No problem to report so far. Extremely happy with this purchase. |

AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
stock heat sink is not very good
Pros: very good value, 3 cores, unlockable Comment:
Extremely happy with this purchase. I decided to go with AMD since they give you the best bang for your buck in this price range. I also read that for gaming having the 3rd core over just 2 increases performance significantly. I was able to unlock the 4th core and L3 cache to essentially make this a Phenom II processor! Gotta be careful cause it runs much hotter and you lost the ability to directly measure the CPU temp. |

AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
None
Pros: Great price/performance ratioDecent overall performanceQuiet Comment:
It's a great processor for a budget system. Although performance is not what you get from a 4-cores, it's near enough that you would not noticed the difference in most real world applications. The stock CPU cooler is quiet and effective, as long as you're using it at stock speed. Thus, no need to buy a third party cooler for quiet operation if you don't plan to overclock.Although it's possible to try unlocking the 4th core, mine was not functionnal. If you want a 4 cores, buy a 4 cores. |

AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
- For this price, no (aside from the stock heatsink/cooler, which usually isn't great for any processor)
Pros: - Price/performance is excellent- Many unlock to a Phenom quad core (including mine!)- Frequency is faster than most of the Athlon quad cores, and some of the Phenom quad cores, meaning in some applications that aren't optimized for multi-core processors, this chip may perform faster Comment:
Mine is running under cool and quiet at low 30's temps, and under load at mid 40's (using the stock cooling solution). I am, however, undervolting the cpu to 1.20 volts from 1.26 volts stock to get these temps (I've read others have undervolted as low as 1.18 succesfully, but I stopped at 1.2 as this brought me comfortably below 50 degree temps.I was able to unlock the fourth core successfully based on various diagnostics. However, under stock cooling the temps rose to the mid-50's, which is more than I'm comfortable with, so I disabled the fourth core for now. I will probably enable it if/when I upgrade my ancient case and/or buy a better cpu cooler. I highly recommend this chip for a budget build. And if you need to upgrade a ways down the road, there's plenty of more powerful chips in the AM3 line that you can upgrade to in future (when they should be even cheaper than they are today!) |

AMD Athlon II X3 445 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
-None noted
Pros: -Possible 4th core unlock-Fast-Stock cooler is fairly quiet-Great price-Cool running Comment:
I bought this processor about a month ago, and I'm really quite happy with my purchase. It's much faster and cooler than the Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition I used to use. In Unreal Engine 3 games I got a 20+fps boost in average framerates, give or take depending on the game. The stock cooler is really small, but keeps temperatures reasonable inside my Lancool K58W case (~42c load with a 24c ambient) As far as noise is concerned, the stock cooler only gives off a slight and unobtrusive hum. |
Got it for a good price after price matching. Got lucky and 4th core unlocked without any issues and is running perfectly. Good value even without the 4th core. Good performance running games with a Radeon 5770.
