AMD Bulldozer FX-8120 8 Core Processor 3.1GHZ Socket AM3+ 125W Retail Box
Cons:None if you can understand it won't perform the same as a 300 dollar cpu. Also the stock fan is loud.

Pros:8 cores, performs well for its price.
Comment:
I've been using this for over a year in a Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 motherboard (which i wish they still made because its a solid affordable motherboard).I've overclocked this without even increasing its voltage to 3.8ghz on its stock fan... i'm sure i could go far beyond that if I needed to. Its hard to know how high it could go, because with water cooling i could almost expect this thing to go to way over 4 ghz.I can't comment on its gaming performance because I only use this on a PC which is used for security cameras, but it handles them well. The stock fan is very loud though, but it does cool the cpu well, but if you have this PC running anywhere near you, using the stock cooler isn't recommended. I have this PC in a area that isn't near anyone so its fine for me.Keep in mind this isn't as fast as intels 4 core, 8 threaded i7's... but its price is great and for performing most tasks it can do things without any problems. It does use more power then the i7's also... I tested my 2600k which was overclocked to 4.6ghz, and it used 30 watts less power then this cpu clocked at 3.8 ghz. but thats not really much to worry about... however, when the PC was idle, the power usage was slightly less on this CPU then on the intel.

AMD Bulldozer FX-8120 8 Core Processor 3.1GHZ Socket AM3+ 125W Retail Box
Cons:none so far

Pros:8 Cores for way cheaper than any other CPU
Comment:
Set it on a ASUS M5A97 R2.0 for my son and he really appreciate for gaming purpose.Fast, quite, temp stay low with an ULTRA thermo electric cooler.I'm buying AMD for years now and i got no complain since then.I would have buy the FX-8150 or 8350 but my son respect his budget and decide to invest on better quality memory.

AMD Bulldozer FX-8120 8 Core Processor 3.1GHZ Socket AM3+ 125W Retail Box
Cons:Certain cpu intensive games run with low fps (e.g. gw2) which was unfortunate for me.Stock fan is pretty bad. Don't use it.

Pros:Unlocked for intense overclockingRuns fine with most gamesGood for multitaskingGood for video editing
Comment:
I was on a tight budget for my gaming build so I went for the cheaper cpu with a better gpu. It is a pretty decent cpu though. Does the job nicely and should last me at least a year. Hopefully amd can create  something that can perform par to the i5 chips by then. If you're on a budget for a decent chip go with the amd and save money. If you want a beast computer, Spend more on intel.

AMD Bulldozer FX-8120 8 Core Processor 3.1GHZ Socket AM3+ 125W Retail Box
Cons:Gets warm

Pros:Absolutely great value for price
Comment:
Used this chip in my friends build and it tears through his computing needs with ease. Gets warm with stock heatsink even just browsing the web so we moved it next to the window and cracked the window a bit. Here in Canada it helps alot as it dropped his temps by 15°c!

Cons:Stock Heatsink is LOUD

Pros:Good deal8 CoresGood enough for the average gamer
Comment:
Its not an i5 but it does the job. Love the fact that it has 8 cores which helps me a lot with my work. Beware of the stock heatsink because it gets LOUD. If you want a quiet build, prepare to purchase a CPU cooler. Love this CPU.

Cons:The heat sink fan is unacceptable its easily the loudest part in my case.

Pros:Its pretty good got it with motherboard for $200
Comment:
Fast 8 cores but the heat sink fan will have to be replaced by one that doesn't drive me nuts.

Cons:my friend could have been better off with a i5 3450he spent 180 on this when its much cheaper now

Pros:Fast but not as good as my i78 cores but totally irrelevant since the programs i use cant use those threads
Comment:
This chip is good for budget workstations or tasks that require the extra threads. if it is for gaming, id suggest otherwise. bought it for my friend

Pros:Very fast, 8 cores
Comment:
Very good processor, Cheap, Fast. Works very well in gaming the only issue is that the stock fan and heatsink will do the job for a little while, but you will need to get another, just to surf the web it heats up to 65

AMD Bulldozer FX-8120 8 Core Processor 3.1GHZ Socket AM3+ 125W Retail Box
Cons:The fan on the heatsink that came with the CPU is doing hell of a noise (ok maybe not that much but still). I've been using it in my case for about 3 day's and already shopping for a cpu heatsink. You might want to keep that in mind because for me it's too noisy to leave it running at night.

Pros:Best bang for the buck. Between the FX-8150 and FX-8120 there is about 10% more performance. I can live with it, hey it's cheaper and it's still 8 core!
Comment:
Wow, with my previous CPU it was taking me 15 minutes to compile the linux kernel. Now it's taking about 3 minutes...Really Happy with the productI'm not gonna review the heat sink because i didn't bought it for it. i's nice that it came with it but that's petty much it. So for the value I've get with the cpu it worth a 5 out of 5.

Compared to my previous Phenom II 955 it runs very quiet and cool during intense gaming. Now combined with a Radeon 7970 I got P7076 3D Marks 11, 7902 for video & 5635 for cpu physics. Its running in a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 with 8 Gb of AMD performance ram.

Cons:I can't exactly say anything about performance until I can afford the rest of the components I need to get my computer up and running.

Pros:So far it's looking good. The package looks nice, no pins aren't bent. It's an OctocoreThe plastic that protects it, looks to be in top shape.Comes with a badge.Comes with a Heat Sink

Most people have their tech knowledge set high, I find this hard to believe. Being A+ Certified like I, doesn't quite mean you have a very high tech knowledge level. A few bench marks doesn't mean anything either. If you were the engineer behind it, or know how it work to the lowest bit of math of the thing. Then you get the bragging rights.

Cons:Why is this 3.1Ghz CPU so bad compared to a i5 2400 in games?

Pros:Amazing price for the features!
Comment:
I bought this for a friends build... he uses apps and watches movies and doesn't game at all (yeah I know this is weird?!?)... So anyway, this will last him long... I mean it's 8 cores running at 3.1Ghz with the possibility to OC a bit too...

Pros:Price and performance
Comment:
I bought this for a new build and have been very happy with all the components except the OCZ power supply that died after only 34 days. I didn't use the stock fan that came with it and instead put in a Antec Kuhler H20 920 water cooling system. Temps are really good and my Windows Experience score come up 7.9. I haven't tried to overclock it yet because I haven't needed to.

Pros:Price, overclockable, unlocked multiplier, 8 cores is just cool.

Awesome price for unlocked 8 core proc. Overclocks well. Temps are reasonable with aftermarket cooler. performance is poor compared to an intel proc but you cant tell unless your into benchmarking or video conversion.

AMD Bulldozer FX-8120 8 Core Processor 3.1GHZ Socket AM3+ 125W Retail Box
Cons:The only con at this point is probably an issue with a game. Before on old system, Red Faction Armageddon worked fine, but now it crashes on startup no matter what we try. Were not sure if this is an issue with the CPU or some other hardware, at this time there is really no telling. Im sure soon it will be fixed but for now it is the only issue we have encountered with all the games and software we use. Steam version is mentioned here.

Pros:Awesome CPU. I bought the 8150 for myself and a friend had me help him with a build. He wanted something similiar to me so we chose the FX 8120. Hes very happy right now with it in his system. Its riding on an ASUS RPG Crosshair Formula V with 8GB Patriot RAM and a couple of Sapphire Radeon 6950's Toxic. CPU easily hit 4.2Ghz with his Ultra Chilltec CPU cooler from his old Intel socket 775 build with no voltage increase. RAM bandwidth must be mentioned as well, as its much higher than his old Core2Quad 775 system and my old PhenomII rig. Comes in awesome collectors tin, which we both enjoyed getting.
Comment:
Awesome CPU and awesome performance. I see some reviews saying its hot, but I must disagree. If you attempt OC on stock cooler or cheap cooler, it may be hot. But inside an Antec1200 case and a NZXT Phantom with CNPS9900MAX and Ultra Chilltec cooler, respectively, there are no thermal issues 4.0Ghz+ Thanks -richie

Pros:Decently fast.Price.
Comment:
Currently have it running on an Asus Crosshair V at 4.0GHZ a 1.30 vcore (all 8 cores) cooled with Corsair H80. Decently fast for the money. Performance wise it rests right between the Intel 2500k and 2600K.
