Overall if you can get this CPU on sale, it is a good bang for the buck. If you're looking for a gaming build under $1000 then I see no problem getting this one. I also found that there are some patches for the bulldozer series, to install that if you want a bit more performance from the CPU

Huge improvement from my old AMD Phenom II X2. Runs all of my games perfectly bundled with a Gigabyte HD 7770.

I bought this to build a computer for my brother, generally I would have recommended Intel but he needed it to do a lot of rendering so AMD was the best value for our needs. I bought the Cooler Master 212 Evo and the temperatures seem to be reasonable. I haven't tried overclocking yet as we are waiting to get the new ram. Till then I just pulled out one of the DIMMS from my PC so that he can use the computer.

Owned for a year now. Mine runs at 4.816 Ghz on an Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z and Corsair H110.Under load 44c / idle 31cUsed in gaming rig with AMD 7970. I prefer to run a pure AMD rig in this case.Very pleased all round, but I got a good chip and if you expect my results (I can post at 5 Ghz) you need the Crosshair V and liquid cooling. Compares nicely with stock i5 -perhaps a bit better, but I paid less and put the money into a good board and cooler.

Bought this in a bundle with a M5A97 ASUS motherboard. They have both worked extremely well since building it up and everything has been rock solid despite my best attempts at overclocking the whole thing multiple times. Its easy to ramp this processor up to 4. ghz and runs really stable at 3.7 which is where I left mine. Simple liquid cooling kit on the processor, nothing fancy. Buying up to the 8350 isn't worth it, stick with this 8320, you won't be disappointed!

overclocks very stable to 3.8ghz, has 8 true cores but sadly runs hot for my liking I get 38C stable with an h110 from corsair. other than the heat it is a pretty good CPU for the price.

You cant go wrong for the price of this CPU. At $150 you are getting a 8 core cpu that while falls behind Intel in single thread apps when games start being programmed with more cores in mind this CPU should shine. This CPU has amazing over clocking potential and can stay pretty cool if you can feed it right. Overall I'm happy with the cpu and what money I saved over going Intel I put into a better GPU.

The 8320 is the little brother to the 8350. It performs quite well, and will work with GPUs ranging from 250-350.

I cranked it up to 4.7ghz with watercooler and a lots of tuning. And it does the job pretty well. I have no regret for this cpu. Highly recommend. If you guys are looking for a cheap option for a beast thats the cpu to go with!!

Overclocked to 4.0ghz without voltage adjustment... my corsair h60 can't handle much more than that.Get an h100i or h110 or a huge air cooler if you're gonna OC. Great multitasking and gaming performance

k, so i bought this bad boy a year ago when i built my (first) gaming PC. i always noticed it was a bit loud and 6 months later it would shut up in the middle of a dota match. i'm not experienced at all with computers so i had no clue what it was from. it kept happening so i dusted out my computer cause i figured it was overheating. which it was. the cpu would get to insane temps (+70C!) so i took it out and checked out the cooling paste. it was melted to the cpu and heatsink and i had to pry it to get it off. anyways, the stock heatsink it comes with is very loud. it's pretty bad for heat management when i'm overclocking it. other than that! get yourself a new fan!

Running at 26C with Noctua NH-U14S and dual fans, not an AMD fanboy but have always used their CPU's, got an Intel 4670k to see what all the hoopla is about and will say AMD is underrated. Can OC an AMD 8320 to 8350 spec easily

très bon processeur niveau qualité-prix. Acheté pour 150$, j'en ai eu pour mon argent. Très bon pour les jeux, avec une gtx 760 j'ai 60 fps en moyenne sur bf4. Le seul point faible que je pourrais dire est sa consommation 125 w c'est plus si on comparare à un Intel. Si la consommation electrique n'est pas un problème allez-y les yeux fermé, vous ne serez pas décu.

I was aiming to build a sub 700$ PC since my old Dell XPS 420 decided to die on me in November. However, I still wanted a decent video card, an SSD, a decent motherboard with room for future improvement and a gaming friendly CPU.Now, I'm a senior game developper myself, and let me tell you that modern game engine architectures love multiple cores. I know this CPU is on a single-core basis way inferior to the mid range intel i5 and high-end i7. However, if you're on a budget, paying for CPU is not the best way to go. Save that 100$ you saved on the CPU for a better GPU.The thing is, you don't need 8 cores to run Google Chrome. But you don't need a super fast single core CPU either for that. I find that this CPU offers exactly what you pay for : No embedded GPU, few tricks, etcs...I bought this in a combo with the Asus M5A99X Evo Rev 2.0 motherboard on cybermonday for 259.99$ with a 20$ MIR (which I'm still waiting for) and it's really a lot of performance for the price tag. My only problem with the processor itself is the heat sink it ships with. That thing is nowhere near adequate if you even remotely enjoy silence. It's super noisy and the CPU is super hot even when idle (41-45 degrees idle). I have a colleague who bought a FX-8350 and complained about the same issue, and we both installed a Cooler Master 212 Evo heatsink, so be prepared to shell out a 30$ extra for silence.

Great bang for the buck. Performs better than a similarly priced intel chip on multithread applications. Not as strong on a single thread as some intel chips.

I bought this as an upgrade from Athlon II x2 240 (2x 2.8ghz). It was a big leap and I definitely feel the computer is far superior to the set up I had before. I paired it with an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 with no problem.

So I got this to move up from my I3 3240 witch was the worst choice I have ever mad buying that. But the AMD 8320 is just what i needed works wonders with my GTX 660.

Bought to replace Phenom II 955.Used with a ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 with 3029 bios without any issues.Can overclock to 4.2ghz at 1.4v. Remember to disable LLC in bios.

Well what do I got to say. i am able to game no problem also using fraps running and recording ijn backround with minimal loss of fps. Ive notice in all my games ioive gained at least 10 fps from my previous processor amd 1100t. There is no way id turn back from this cpu. I give thumbs up to anybody who would consider this cpu.

The Vishera FX line of cpus are excellent, most modern games are more video card dependent than CPU intensive so you can buy a slightly weaker CPU and with the money saved buy a stronger graphics card.My own FX-8320 is excellent, with water-cooling it can hit a rock solid 5.0ghz. Also, this chip pumps out tons of heat with the heavy overclock. It will be a nice space heater come the winter.This is a secondary PC and is not currently hooked up to my window mounted radbox. That may change with the summer heat fast approaching.

i been using this processor for 3 weeks now and so far i cant say anything bad aside from the small cpu heat sink. its an octo core for a cheap price you cant go wrong.
