AMD Phenom II X4 810 2.6GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Stock fan is slightly loud, cache could always be more.
Pros:Cheap, low power consumption and overall decent price vs. performance ratio. Comment:
Bought this to pair with an ASUS M4A78T-E (and to flash an ASUS M4A79T Deluxe). Everything was basically plug and play and had no real issues with the system. The CPU is fast enough for most consumer needs, can't say that I want more processing power than this machine offers out of the box. Works great with Vista and most games out there now.Nice that it has the AMD Virtualization extension, which is useful in VMware - Power consumption is low so you can build a nice development workstation and works nicely with gaming. |
Got this with the Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P gaming bundle. So far no problems. When gaming I usually minimize the game to check the pc temp and it does it without any problems. Right now Im running games like Fallout 3, Grid...Also since it uses less power the temperature actually stay pretty cool at all conditions. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-22-09 07:25 AM
