AMD Phenom II X4 925 2.8GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:not a Sandy bridge ;)
Pros:overclock at 3.4GHz easily, was 70$ Comment:
It's not the best cpu but at 70$ it was definitely the best you could get for your money. I decided to wait for Bulldozer and Ivy bridge to be sure to have a technologie that will live long (PCIE3.0, 8x/8x crossfire, 1866MHz ram, etc). For now it is more than enought for any game would recommend to any one looking for a powerfull machine not to pricey. |

AMD Phenom II X4 925 2.8GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:none
Pros:Price/performance ratio, runs very cool Comment:
I did a bit of research before I bought this, turns out it's faster than both the Athlon II X4 645 and the Phenom II X4 840 due to the 6mb of L3 cache. For $70 you can't go wrong, I haven't tried overclocking it yet but I expect good things. |
so i purchased this for another one of my builds and i figured it would be a good chip. I was mistaken i must say. i cant get it stable over 3.3 with any kind of cooling. im not very happy with the chip but for the price i payed im happy with it
