AMD Sempron LE-1200 Single Core Processor 2.1GHZ Socket AM2 512KB L2 Cache 45W OEM
Cons:- None
Pros:- Runs extremely cool- Low wattage- Good amount of cache Comment:
Fits my needs for an energy efficient server while still having enough horse power for general office work and web surfing. In summary, it works well as long you don't plan to play any current generation PC games with it. |

AMD Sempron LE-1200 Single Core Processor 2.1GHZ Socket AM2 512KB L2 Cache 45W OEM
Cons:single core
Pros:price on sale.. 64bit, oc's very well Comment:
for a file server or any basic system it works like a charm. I put it into a nas box and it barely even does more than idle.. and if needed it can oc very well. Useless for higher end systems of course but for the $ paired with a cheap 640 based board it's sweet indeed. |

AMD Sempron LE-1200 Single Core Processor 2.1GHZ Socket AM2 512KB L2 Cache 45W OEM
Cons:- single core (probably wasn't a weakness when it was first released) :P
Pros:- overclocks quite well Comment:
Bought this for a low-budget overclocking project. It did not disappoint! I could have gone for a dual core for a few $ more, but I don't plan on doing any video rendering or multitasking (not even multiple Firefox windows) on this thing. May end up making a decent HTPC. AMD Sempron LE-1200 Single Core Processor 2.1GHZ Socket AM2 512KB L2 Cache 45W OEM
Cons:None as yet
Pros:Good for a home server, sale price Comment:
Using with an Arctic Cooler HSF in a Windows Home Server box. Seems to be performing well; I haven't noticed any slowdowns via direct connection or remote desktop as of yet. I would get it again. |
bought this for $20 on sale to be used in an ubuntu server box. Overall, given the price point it's nice, but does choke on heavier loads. For the server that I'm running (media + 2 active + 4 passive apps), I found it to be a little weak. Would probably need to tune up my server in order not to strain this cpu.
