APC BR1500G Power Saving Back-UPS RS 1500
Cons:It is a big pricy and a bit heavy. But totally worth it.

Pros:I've been using APC UPSes for almost a decade. Very high quality.
Comment:
The number of hardware failures I have had has noticeably decreased since I started using a UPS. Now I use one for all desktop and home servers.I bought this recent one as a replacement for a model that has served my very well for at least eight years. I think usually these are only supposed to last 3-5 years. The "terrible buzz" that another reviewer mentioned is normal. It will do this when first powering on, when switching to battery, and when doing the "self test". Don't worry about it.

APC BR1500G Power Saving Back-UPS RS 1500
Cons:makes a terrible buzz when on battery...

Pros:seems to work fine
Comment:
Not sure if its faulty, but makes a terrible buzz when first turned on while on battery before it switches to the AC line in. Does seem to work fine, I have its little brother, the 1350VA model, have had it for a couple years now, honestly quite happy with it. I have had the best results with APC, have owned a few Cyberpower's over the years also, prefer APC. I kept everything just in case it bites the dust within 3 years. If it wasn't for the expensive shipping I honestly would have sent it back for a replacement. Its not that it performs bad, it just sounds terrible, I just don't trust the way it sounds. Battery even lasts a decent amount of time.

APC BR1500G Power Saving Back-UPS RS 1500
Cons:Heavy

Pros:Great display for informationLots of plugs available for multiple devicesHuge load
Comment:
Brought this for my new gaming computer, easy to use and the screen gives a huge amount of information quickly and accurately. You can see load %, in watts, time remaining on battery, number of events that occurred etc. The alert can be a tad annoying, but its job is to warn you that a power issue is occurring. Easily plugged in everything i had to this, and the ability to plug things into areas that would not be powered if the power went out helps a ton to conserve power in those situations.

APC BR1500G Power Saving Back-UPS RS 1500
Cons:None so fare.

Pros:Nice looking UPS device, has LCD display and software, plenty of power for future upgrades.
Comment:
My old UPS device died and I decided to get a more powerful system to keep my new high powered PC and components safe in case of power outages and surges.Haven't had to rely on the backup power function yet, but I live in an area with frequent power outages in the spring and summer so I will be ready when it happens.

Pros:Slim design is an improvement over their older models. Display is easy to read.

Does what it says it does. I have 3 in total. Very good investment to protect your computer. Not to mention give you computer time after the power goes out.

APC BR1500G Power Saving Back-UPS RS 1500
Cons:buzzing from unit when you have your ear next to it, only ~865w.

Pros:nice looking, cheapish, 3 year warranty.
Comment:
since building my new desktop that had a raid setup, i needed a ups, but bought this one on impulse due to price. then read some stuff where some psu (mostly enermax) with active pfc require a pure sinewave ups. this ups is a 'simulated' sine wave unit. but it works perfectly fine with my OCZ ZX series psu, which does have active pfc. works great, does what it needs to do. gets a bit noisy when its on battery, but you shouldnt be running on battery anyways, so serves as a good reminder to shutdown.

APC BR1500G Power Saving Back-UPS RS 1500
Cons:None that I can think of so far.

Pros:* Looks Good* Works Great* LCD Display
Comment:
Just hooked this up to my rig, nothing to it, open the casing flip the battery into place. Plug your PC in, power up, pull the plug off the wall, battery kicks in.The battery came in fully charged, which surprised me, just had to flip it into the "live" position.LCD Display works great, shows how much time you have left on battery, Current Wattage Consumption and other stuff useful if you have coaxial or Ethernet cable connected.Couldn't of asked for a better product, registration can be done via their website and only took about 2-3minutes in order to activate the warranty.

APC BR1500G Power Saving Back-UPS RS 1500
Cons:None really found yet

Pros:APC quality is better than the other brands offered here at NCIX
Comment:
This is a nice unit. Based off the previous generation of this model, it has the LCD which is super handy.- This model can leave the LCD display active, so anytime I walk by I can immediately see the displayed statistic. In my case, I leave it on showing the battery time left.- Has an expansion slot that allows an external battery (proprietary - model# BR24BPG, but still extra batteries!) to be attached for more runtime. This unit runs about 50% load, and with the external battery it shows a runtime of 52 minutes!- Not sure why it's power cord is built in. It should just be using regular computer power cords instead of built in.This unit (and the battery pack) have already helped out with a power outage. Power went out so I left work. I got home 45 minutes later, and the UPS was still running everything and gave me enough time to shut everything down gracefully! 45 minutes of actual runtime with approx 50% load.

APC BR1500G Power Saving Back-UPS RS 1500
Cons:I suppose the price...but that's a con for everything

Pros:Silent (not sure why so many reviews online complain about fan noise)
Comment:
Bought this unit, despite the sporadic complaints about noise. It's perfectly silent. Really cool to see how much power you're using. I am using it to provide backup power to two workstations, and it says I'd have about 9 minutes of runtime if the power goes out. Not too bad, and certainly enough time to shut everything down.

Cons:None noted yet.

Pros:Build quality, layout, ease of use.
Comment:
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of these units. I don't know if I like the idea that only one port can be master but I guess there is a reason for that that I don't get yet. The LED panel is brilliant and easy to use.Would recommend this for sure.

APC BR1500G Power Saving Back-UPS RS 1500
Cons: Monitoring software can serve only 1 PC.

Pros: Fairly compact design for the power rating, on-unit LED showing relevant information, APC name, expansion port for adding more battery capacity
Comment:
The APC unit is a reasonably cheap 850W-class UPS. While it's not true sine wave, it nevertheless works just fine with PCs. The LED on the unit is nice: power consumption, runtime, etc are available at the touch of a button, or can be left always displayed. The ability to turn off the audible alarm and lengthen runtime by adding battery capacity are nice pluses. Too bad the software doesn't allow for network shutdown of multiple computers.
