Cons:Power glitch: It doesn't completely power-off if insufficient power is detected (it runs through the capacitors until empty), so some electronics may experience "ghost power", and electronics don't power back on gracefully (stuck in a half-on state). Left HTPC in glitch-limbo on two occasions (computer would partly power-off but the GPU had drawn-windows but nothing in them); had an Onkyo receiver exhibit this glitch also - disable its EQ daughterboard for a while (the unit likely caused a circuit overload).
Pros:Bought 3 of these. In a rental with bad electrical wiring, brownouts and at least one instance of over-voltage.This has saved electronics multiple times. One of these are now sitting between the outlet and a good UPS. |

Cons:-only 4 inputs (what do you expect for under $100?)-only protects up to 1200 Watts worth of equipment (again what do you expect for under $100?)-not a UPS (again what do you expect for under $100?)
Pros:-best bang-for-buck "power-conditioner" on the market (a voltage regulator is a "power-conditioner") for an unheard of price point (under $100!).-well made, conforms to all major industry standards. Better than many power conditioners costing 4X the price! Comment:
This is a must buy for anyone who lives in a building with electrical wiring that is NOT state of the art. (One way to tell if you have electrical wiring issues is if your lights flicker on rare occasion).Works great for use with a TV, stereo receiver, or video game system (those with computers should get a UPS with "voltage regulation" such as APC's "Smart" line of UPS's). |

I got this Voltage Regulator to put in front of my Cyberpower CP1000AVRLCD UPS which was continuously switching back and forth battery power.Couldn't rate this one or two star because the fact we are using generated power here trough a SW plus inverter and that is likely the problem, but I figured that's what this is for?Anyways this unit didn't seem to help at all with the UPS issue. We bought a APC SUA1000 Smart-UPS hooked it up to our inverter power and works like a charm. |
A good line conditioner for the price, effective. But I'd recommend a UPS for sporadic wiring, while having one of these between the outlet.
