Have had this case more than a year now. Initially ran Very hot for my core2 notebook processor (t7200)... Power supply continues to hold up the processor, 4gigs of DDR2, and Two notebook disk drives, as well as two fans mounted into the vent side of the case, and an added slot fan. Initially ran very HOT see other thoughts. This case ran quite hot (which likely led to an early tough disk failure) To get the most out of this case get a two.five" hot swap bay and mount in the Floppy slot. ƒ.five" drives even at 7200RPM run considerably cooler than their 3.five" brothers). ALSO, mount a slot cooler (pull out) and two 80mm side fans on the vent(push in)... Case is now icy cool, and has been operating for 11 months without difficulties. |

Built a good technique making use of this case like the Zotac GF6100 and a Sempron 140 AM3 CPU. Case is incredibly sleek, Sturdy/good steel, good design and style and has lots of appeal if you're constructing to sell, it appears great for such a small case. Adore the glossy finish in the front. CPU's average temp is anyplace from 63 to 70 degrees Celsius, really concerning as heat damages CPU's as properly as elements. The explanation for this is the PSU is just barely clearing the processor fan and with all the heat generated from the PSU, it's really heating up the processor. The high quality is there, the looks is there, just the heat difficulties is what's killing me. Thinking about trying to flip the PSU upside down so that the fan isn't pointed in the CPU's airflow direction. Just hoping if I do this that the PSU will have enough airflow so that it doesn't die of heat. APEX must have made vent holes for the PSU so that it could be placed upside down. |

Too many critiques written by individuals that don't do their homework. This is a "mini-itx" case - the build is going to be cramped. Built mine with a Zotac mini-itx, dual core AMD, 4GB memory, Silverstone NT-07 (PAY Interest), and Win 7 House 64bit. Watch the reviews, install a 120mm fan exactly where the manufacturer says the hdd ought to go (wedge it in the side). Employed an LG Super Multi DVD-RW and a laptop HDD, All sorts of area to spare and runs quite cool. Don't mark your practical experience as "high" when you have slapped together some old Pc parts in an antique tower and then blast a good item that requires some frequent sense. Superb worth for the income, extremely slick case, would advise and intend to purchase far more. Cons - the whiners that don't realize "Mini-Itx" is a entire unique atmosphere than slapping their celeron in a applied e-machine case. |

It holds a full 3.five drive and complete size five.25 optical drive. Clean hunting case. The PSU is a little loud and runs a small hot for my taste. All in all its worth the cash if you need to have an ITX case. You will will need to make certain you have CPU fan that is short adequate to match beneath the energy provide. |

It is compact. It is low cost. The PSU fan is not the quietest, but it is not that loud. I purchased this bundled with a ZOTAC GF6100-E-E motherboard for a fantastic deal.I use this case and mobo for my FreeNAS server and hold it in my closet, so I seriously don't interact with it physically all that a lot.The designated 3.5" tough drive bay was just slightly tricky to figure out. I am also using ALL the drive bays (internal and external, 3.five" and five.25" with adapter) to hold difficult drives. So it fits three really hard drives this way. I use a USB CD/DVD drive when needed. |

A incredibly nice seeking and functional mini-itx chassis for the value. I'd say its a bit tight w/cables tending to limit air movement...but then once more its a mini-itx chassis. I would suggest pulling out the ps prior to assembly...tends to make life significantly simpler. I connected power leads THEN re-attached the ps to the chassis as the final actions to assembly. Good chassis although...ill have to keep an eye on the technique temp. |

Small, low-cost (came with mobo/PSU at super low value) plenty of screws included (even some added)Adjustable optical drive tray buttonFor the price tag it was quite sturdy Front is truly shiny I be concerned about the fingerprint/scratch aspect. No place to mount a method fan. You have to take the front of the case off to get the optical drive in. You will have to get rid of PSU to hook everything up. I went with the ZOTAC GF6100-E-E mobo (was in combo deal) and the AMD Sempron 140 Sargas two.7GHz (under ุ w/ fan) I did have to adjust the fan for the PSU/mobo fit Ɠ minutes with a dremmel to resize the fan risers). I was not comfy with the CPU fan making make contact with with the PSU. |

Tiny size, great finish on a steel box. The plastic front comes off and on easily when you will need to do so. Plenty of room as extended as you lay out your cables very carefully. The red HDD access LED is also *$%#@! vivid for an HTPC. Will be looking into swapping it for yet another, or adding a resistor to dim it. Also had to trim two tiny plastic fins so that the optical drive release button would be close enough to the drive's button. Not positive why those bits of plastic are there, but they're deliberately cast into the inside of the front panel. Yes, it can be cramped when making, but that's correct of ANY mini-ITX situation. It took many attempts to get the power supply cable arranged so that it didn't interfere with the CPU fan, but as soon as I got that accomplished the rest went really effectively. Don't tighten something in location until you know all your fans will operate and you will be fine. There IS space for a slim 120 mm case fan on one particular side if you don't add a second 3.5" tricky drive. It's a good notion, mainly because the PS has no fan. Total system energy consumption working with a Core i3-550 Clarkdale three.2GHz CPU varies in between 55 - 68 watts, so a 250 watt PS is plenty. And, a third party low profile cpu cooler and fan can attainable aid with the cpu/psu clearance difficulty. I haven't tried it myself. The largest con was the psu fan noise level. The unit was whisper very when plugged in to test the power provide however, soon after the develop and the unit was now below load, the fan was louder than my desktop fan. Front panel is glossy black so it's a fingerprint magnet a bit. Wish they will extend the 3.five" basket down. There is adequate empty space there to fit a different HDD but anyway I have only two sata on the motherboard. Incredibly quiet - I use this for a music player in my stereo, so it had to be quiet.Extremely roomy, but that can be minus also (see below)Making use of full size challenging drive and DVD keeps the total price down. A little bigger than it has to be (lost an egg right here). I believe they were attempting to appeal to customers with higher performance cpu's who need max space for cooling. I use an Atom motherboard (no cpu fan) so much more than adequate space for MB, complete size DVD, three.five tough drive. Remove energy supply even though putting in motherboard. |

This is a really attractive case. I bought this since it looked modest and was also Really cheap!Proper now this case is only 36 with no cost shipping. I paid close to 50 when I bought it due to the fact it was standard with ten for shipping, but catching this on a deal actually makes it a wonderful inexpesnive, modest case! Also, the proper side allows for a 120mm fan to be installed (I cramped a silent X in there just fine). Actually helps with airflow and fan was dead silent! No sharp edges and never cut myself once. This is modest! If you want a modest, affordable, and eye-catching case, this is fairly excellent :)Also, modifications can repair a lot of of the issues. Clearance.Like I mentioned in the title, this is not ideal for typical builds, Id say just use this for a low power/low heat atom develop.I tried to do an AMD make with an AMD x2 260 and it was just too hot. My mb graphics ran hot anyway (which I didnt know prior to getting), but the clearance among the CPU fan and the PSU is next to nothing at all generally.**To repair this, what you can do is cut the legs off of the CPU fan! Easy to do (trust me, 1st time builder and I did this...). This provides a tiny far more space between the CPU and PSU that Truly can aid! Sadly for me, the fan on the CPU nonetheless began running actually rapidly immediately after a minute and produced a lot of noise...was preparing on this to be an HTPC, so this noise (and concern for heat) meant I had to return it...Also can turn the PSU unpside down. There may well be enough clearance from the top rated of the case and the PS fan that it can still get enough air. That way the PS fan and the CPU fan aren't competing (PS sucks up and CPU sucks I listed some fixes to some of the difficulties in the cons (such as cutting the CPU fan legs off to boost clearance and turning the PS upside down). These can perform if you seriously want to make a normal build with a typical processor! If turning the PSU upside down causes also significantly heat for the PSU, possibly youll have to cut some holes in the major of the case (may be tougher, but still not hard!)General, this case isn't genuinely that negative! Yea, its genuinely cramped, and I even had to return mine and spend for return shipping and the original shipping, but thats simply because I set my expectations also high. For an Atom develop this would be fine! Atoms dont get too hot and some are even fanless, so the CPU-PSU problem may not even be there.Airflow is ok if you place your HDD in the three.5 cage rather than the side and have a 120mm fan.Is a seriously fairly case and isn't too undesirable, just not meant for a normal make. From someone who returned his, I nonetheless like this case |

Hello buddies. I do not presently personal this product but. On the other hand I'm surely getting it soon. To make a extended winded evaluation short, I'm also acquiring a [SILVERSTONE NT07-AM2 80mm CPU Cooler]. If your AMD CPU is AM2+ or AM3 and you need to have superior performance from that cooler you can get an 80mm x 25mm fan for it with hight CFM rating. This weekend I spent hours producing careful measurement calculations to figure out that this cooler plus an 80mm fan that is 25mm in width (that's ӱmm wider than the integrated fan) will clear the PSU by 5mm or Ӭ.two". ***A single more point - never ever use a stock PSU when you purchase a case that's this inexpensive. The stock is an Apex AL-8250SFX (Mfd. by Allied Electronics) it is a ฤ PSU with an effectiveness of ឱ%. It will overload, heat your entire room, make lots of noise, and waste in wide excess of what ever wattage your machine is pulling.I'm buying a Seasonic SS-350SFE PSU to go with this case. I'm impressed with this case's layout. The internal fans of both the stock PSU and the Seasonic PSU I'm finding to replace it will serve double duty sucking hot air off of the cpu cooler assy. For a wee tiny SFX case it will have sufficient space for me to fit up to four two.five" HDD's in RAID . Its going to be hot in there! I'm switching the fan on not just the CPU cooler assy. but also within the PSU to those with greater CFM ratings. Read the unfavorable reviews of this product and you will meet the people who had difficulties fitting their heatsinks that sit correct under the PSU. Also, be conscious their is a door going more than your Optical Drive's loading tray...that will add to the complexity of an otherwise simple ODD disk loading tray. |

The case has vents on both sides in spite of the photos. It also has very a handful of power connectors. I was pleased with the two included SATA power connectors. All my elements fit properly into the case. The power supply consists of a fan, which is inaudible to me. Anything was nicely designed for my objective (see beneath). The only complaint I can feel of is that the hard disk activity light in the front above the energy button is a incredibly bright red. The challenge isn't enough to take away an egg. The case sits beneath my desk and is out of view for me. This issue can be easily remedied by just not connecting the light to the motherboard or considering of some thing inventive like covering the light with tinted tape, nail polish, etc. I purchased this case to use for a project to develop a property firewall / UTM device working with Astaro. I used an Intel D510MO Atom motherboard, 2x4GB Mushkin Enhanced RAM, a regular Seagate drive, a DVD drive, and a dual port Intel NIC for further ports. All the devices fit in rather nicely. The energy supply that comes with the case has a fan on the underside which pulls hot air up from the motherboard and pushes it out the back. |

Exceptional searching situation at a excellent cost. This is the smallest case I've ever owned or constructed in and I have to say it was actually entertaining placing this system together.I got a little carried away with my technique parts, but I managed to fit them all together without having also substantially hassle. The holes on the side cover DO line up perfectly for two 80mm fans as a preceding reviewer stated. Just be wary about motherboard layout. It's a little tedious for me to have all of my cables pluged in appropriate beside two spinning blades. Vertical space is at a premium for your CPU cooler. The fan guard on the i3-2100 stock heatsink is in fact touching the bottom of my PSU (SeaSonic 350W SFX12V). Fortunately the fan isn't located there. You'll want 90 Sata and Power cables anyplace you can get em.Get the smallest optical drive you can...or a shorter PSU. The CD/DVD burner I ordered was also lengthy to fit in the situation even with 90 degree plugs (N82E16827151192). Regardless of all the cons I listed, this is nonetheless a excellent situation.
