This board can increase the voltage to cpu core. Just use the built-in clocking settings for preset frequency. 4.2 Ghz for sure has higher voltage.

Bought this to use with a G3258. Unfortunately, ASRock has skimped out on the PWM configuration, and as a result their is no ability to adjust Cpu Input Voltage (VRIN/VCCIN) which limits fine tuning of overclocking. I am only able to hit 4.0, which is a very modest overclock on the G3258. Any of the easy tweak options are a nice touch for regular old end users, but the lack of VCCIN adjustment is disappointing. If you are serious about getting the most out of your processor, I would suggest spending more on a board from Asus/Gigabyte/MSI.ASRock makes no mention of this limitation on their site, and it took several e-mails to confirm with them. There have been no bios updates since initial release either, which is now 2 months old.If you aren't planning to overclock, I'd say this board is alright, but only if it's on sale. The placement of the CMOS jumper is terrible if you have a large heatsink and GPU installed, you will not be able to access it. You will have to remove the GPU to pull the jumper out. Pretty shameful in a board marketed from the ground up for overclocking.

Bought this because it was the cheapest Z97 board that I could see... With the rebate especially - this board is priced very reasonably. Works great, but doesn't have some extras like optical audio or many USB3 ports. Still though, I'm pretty happy with it.
