Quite simple to give the Pros for this Board. It has enough slots to spare for the gamer/part time OC'er. Onboard sound is very first class. I don't recognize why anyone would complain about it. The lack of onboard Video enables for additional robust architecture and the Creative sound system is major notch. It identified my RAM w/o problem(minimum settings though) even when it was not listed by either Asus or Corsair as becoming compatible and Newegg doesn't list anything previous the 1st Generation Crosshair in their search parameters. Didn't make any difference at all and that's a excellent thing Came with every little thing I necessary(cables) to hook up more than enough Drives and even XFire bridge. May well have gone the further mile and included a spare for these that have 4 graphics cards but commonly you'll get at least one with a newer GPU anyway so not an issue. Not the Crosshair Intense, nonetheless had the NB challenge but was very easily dealt with. Buttons are at the bottom of the MoBo making items slightly exciting if you have XFire setup with dual slot Cards Would like to have observed a PCI 1x slot in that spot and the buttons along the Bay side like the Intense is set up in that manner. Not worth taking any eggs off in any of these difficulties. Surely suggest a Big Cabinet to hold your internals however since in my cabinet issues get decidedly cramped with all the cables operating to my PSU and front I/O panel from the MoBo. Okay, when I first reviewed I had decent coverage with the stock TIM but I replaced it with Shin-Etsu G751 having cut out the indentations with an Xacto knife to leave a kind for the replacement TIM to fill but not overflow onto the NB/SB chips. Not terrible. Ran in between 49-52c idle/load temps occasionally a little higher depending on the App. My system had been down for sleeving and though it was I performed a far more intensive repair exactly where I filed down the NB standoffs to the identical height as the SB ones so they were even in length. Average temp now is 39-43c Idle/Load, immediately after putting it all back 2gether. Functions the way it should have from the start but not that major a deal.Method Specs=-=-=HAF 932955 BE(lapped)Corsair H50 (same)Crosshair IVCorsair AMD Ed. Excellent functions. lots of PCI slots, lots of SATA ports. Memory slots are bunched closely with each other and the memory modules had been touching every other in my create.Memory modules in general had been close to the CPU and may well block really substantial CPU coolers.Front side audio hookup is in the bottom left corner and is as well far away for the cable to reach in my case. Board itself is really significant and was even a bit crampt in my mansion-sized total-tower situation. The 'Start' an other buttons rapidly switches involving bios overclock profiles, but it seems silly to me as I in no way have the case open or reachable and so can't push the button.BIOS is clearly developed for overclock fanatics, and I discovered it filled with annoying programs like benchmarking tools, but other people might like it so not a con. |

Looks great, comes with sata cables, extensive manual, 2 stickers, and a lot of computer software. I had numerous blue screens when attempting to make my 1090T O/C to 3.7 on stock cooler, perhaps I just required a superior heatsink. I don't like how the buttons on the board glow constantly, perhaps there is a setting or jumper for that but I doubt it. Runs great when on. Very slow to begin up. at least 15-20 seconds of just mobo stuff just before windows even begins. I would advise, at least from what I have seen so far. |

Functions great with little configuration and is quite stable board. Extremely excellent layout and straightforward to get stuff on and off board. Also for you "looks" guys the board looks actually good inside the case particularly with most of the radeon cards out there. The north bridge runs truly hot on my board and i had to take of the heat sink and file down the stand off screws (just make them the identical length as the south bridge). That fairly a lot did the trick and got a very good connection. Other than tiny hiccup..... Brilliant! Where do I start? Greak looks. Great price tag. Good upgrade-potential. Each and every function I can assume of is right here. More than-clocking is Simple, and I have under no circumstances OC'ed ahead of. It essentially does it by itself. ASUS is a sweet brand, and I couldn't be happier with this board. Offers fantastic peace of mind to know I can add RAM, I can add over-clocking, I can add crossfire video cards if I ever want additional speed. I have the new tech in USB 3. and Sata III. It's just a incredibly nice spot to start your make even if you aren't going to take benefit of all it's attributes correct at the moment, it leaves possibilities. NOT A single SINGLE COMPLAINT. I don't want everyone else to obtain this so I will always be much better than you. ;-) |

Wonderful board, no concerns to speak off. Came with the most up-to-date revision on the bios which is nice! Board hasn’t been sitting on a shelf! Nice packaging with ample supplies. Typical ASUS quality. Speaks to the purpose i don’t even bother with other MB brands for my private builds. Manual is somewhat ambiguous if not incorrect about memory channel identification. Identified that in fact the bios will not configure the memory in dual channel mode unless you stagger the dimm slots so if you want dual channel operation and you are NOT fully populating all slots you would install the a dimm in slot 1 and then slot 3 which is in direct contradiction to how the manual reads. Honestly even though i wouldn’t get in touch with this a huge issue. I'm a lot more than a little frustrated with the whole AM3/AM3+ problem. as nicely as the series 900 chipset situation. Not that its seriously ASUS's fault directly. I can almost certainly blame the lack of information on AMD but still it appears virtually odd that there is Nothing at all in terms of when we can expect a series 900 crosshair , and definitive facts on AM3+ help and specs. ASUS did have an official press release a couple days back stating that bios revision 3102 (currently in beta) will allow support of upcoming x8 bulldozer procs but no specifics about limited functionality, limitations, and so forth where given nor was the Clear question about series 900 board availability addressed. |

Looks wonderful, runs wonderful and generally a seriously excellent board, I like considerably of the characteristics place into the board like the ON/OFF and Reset buttons as nicely as the Core Unlocker and the Instant O.C. Doesn't have any of the PCI x1 slots ought to you be searching for them but you really should be in a position to do with no. The 1 factor I don't like is that while the board as connections for Thermal Sensors it come with none and I have had a hard time trying to discover some on the web. Try to locate out how to use that core unlocker mainly because I have no Notion if it is operating or not. But you could constantly unlock most cores from the BIOS i think. |

Uncomplicated to install and setup board. It has each advanced and entry level capabilities for everyone. Enjoy the looks of it. The style of the PCI-E slots are excellent with two ATI 5770s operating in Crossfire. Adore the board! Only issue problem I have is with the immediately after marketplace cooler(Corsair A70) or any larger cooler, it doesn't leave significantly room for ram with heatsinks on them. Even though it could be an Asus design ( my brothers have an intel Asus board, made the similar way) or it could be a thing that all boards suppliers do and I just haven't had considerably encounter with motherboards in the past five years. But even then as long as I have memory in there that I'm not gonna get rid of its all great. Good board, well worth the funds. If your hunting for a greater end board with multiple PCI-E x16 slots, USB 3. and SATA III, appear no additional! |

If your heads been out of the sand you know this board has fundamentally everything you will need. No SLI? Tuff. When I sat and read all the reviews of this board I took them all with a little salt and deep down knew I was going to purchase it anyways. When you take into account all the consideration to detail and characteristics other boards just don't have there is no other purpose not to obtain this board if you have the scratch. I am not saying that you can't get by on less but this isn't your Mom's Dodge or your Old man's Ford. This is the vehicle you don't want any individual else to ride in unless you hate them and want them to worry you. Ever watched "DeathProof"? This is the Nova. Does this have a lot more characteristics than what I want?...of course...This is NOT the burger you get immediately after salivating over the image on the window. It is additional than I expected. If your the kind of person that wants to understand how factors perform, consider this like a breadboard of the 21st century. Can you get a undesirable board from any person? Of coarse. My OS hasn't arrived yet. My fault (I didn't bundle every thing with each other, I went against my far better monetary judgment and clicked "add to cart". Payday was the next day, and I sprung every little thing I had once more for the OS and the XFX 6870. I can live on pasta for a week. So I have yet to hang with the major dogs. This is my 1st Computer make. Boy I am glad I got this board. I have been jacking around in the BIOS and I have no concept what some men and women employed to go via to unlock and overclock but there has to be an insane amount of techniques you can enhance your efficiency with this BIOS. Certain you only require one, so I guess if you want to call it a con= I didn't have to say up for a month incrementing parameters and pressure-testing to arrive at hefty speeds. Of course I haven't confirmed stability however, but if you are a small shy of OC give this board a attempt. Just a click right here or push a button there and your off. Other boards have these same capabilities but it isn't just a thing pretty to stare at I can in fact learn additional from a board like this, I am not so savvy. ProbeIt is very intriguing to me. I like hands on challenge solving, yeah you can just view the voltages, but how numerous of you could trace a circuit and some of todays boards? You also get all the component LED's and they adjust from orange to green as it boots. You also get red LED's as it POST's. If you have a issue with a distinct circuit it remains lit. Mem OK is sweet. I initially powered it on and had some difficulty with my RAM, tried it once again with the MemOK button enabled and boom off I went, but not with out 10 minutes of nearly crying that my RAM was incompatible. This board does NOT make you smarter but it can make you feel like an astronaut. The ONLY concern I have and it mainly is a compatability challenge with my setup 鿄 II situation) the front panel pins are in a poor location and some of the cable management with my PSU are a tiny frustrating. I have not a single complaint. 3000 char. isn't sufficient space. |

Has far more bells and whistles than anyone would absolutely fill up. Looks great, neato keen light up buttons! Right after getting a DOA from an additional vendor I went with Newegg like I shoulda! Lotsa SATA ports, wonderful cable minding stickers, massive ka-pow sticker in the box ;) Certainly make certain your power supply likes to play great with this board. Mine didnt. The lights had been on, but noone was residence. Had a MSI 600W provide that didnt have adequate cherries to power it up for some cause. Replaced that with a Rocketfish 500W+ unit and difficulty solved! Requirements a coax SPDIF port....Im just not a toslink man. Sorry! On another note, had a slight hiccup when putting in Win7 onto a RAID of 2x640gb WD drives. Looked up that error and there was a operate around so no biggie. |

Great board, very effortless to OC my 965 Black edition, with the utilities or with the onboard buttons. Had the 3,4 processor operating at three.92 Ghz with out a difficulty and maintained temp of 40c beneath load with a zalman fan. decided to run at three.68Ghz as that is a lot of speed and will last longer than if I ran it higher.Gorgeous looking board, if you like to show off your stuff this board will look quite pretty in your situation. Sata plugs are designed so that your large video card will not get in the way, I liked this alot.Alot of choices in Bios make it a dream to play with. Also the bios is incredibly simple to update as opposed to several boards in the past. It did not place itself with each other, I had to do physical work...ugh Purchase this board, you will not regret it!!! |

Quite quick and easy installation, has the opportunity to unlock all 6 cores with the press of the four key, and on the fly adjustments following Windows loads. With an SSD Sata2 drive, Windows 7 expert boots up in much less than 20 seconds. I wanted to use Cosair heatsink and fan, but the RAM sockets and heatsinks about it prevented me from carrying out so. Installed with the stock fan, my CPU temp is quite awesome. While you can't take advantage of SLI on this board, I drive my program with a EVGA GeForce 560 ti and combined with an ASUS 23" 120mhz LCD I have a beautiful Nvidia 3D residence setup! |

This board is awesome! i have no troubles with it, every little thing installed fine. my crossfire X HD 5770's installed, and worked initial attempt. The BIOS is very indepth and customizable. i have a CoolerMaster Scout full ATX case and the SATA ports are very close to the tricky drive bays, but i was still able to connect every thing just fine. lastly had a great reason to throw away my floppy dirve, and had to rapid run to the store and choose up a SATA Optical drive. (no IDE ports).
