Love it completely OC menu is simple ability to do many restarts and delete settings are a breeze. Worth the funds for the buy. Wish I spent more on it and went with extreme version, even though avoided Wife-aggro. Definately suggested to other's! Wasn't Extreme! |

Okay this board is remarkable. It has some of the best overclocking I've seen and its quite straightforward. I've got 8gb G.Gkill 1600 and a AMD 1090t clock to 4.1 GHz with an H50 running at 52c under full load. Some where saying they where having troubles with the NB i guess i got lucky mine is running at 30c under full load. none 100% worth the dollars!!! For any individual out there that desires a awesome AMD gaming rig this is the way to go. i would suggest this board to anybody |

This board just has it all... I've been out of the PC scene for rather a even though and my how things have changed! Was actual simple to setup and is a lot more feature packed than any of the other boards I regarded as. It's the small items like having a CMOS reset switch on the back panel as 1 example that makes it so appealing to me. None! I feel all the manufacturer's should model this board, ASUS just has it figured out! This was my initial ASUS motherboard and based on my initial experience I would surely obtain their goods in the future. |

a bit expensive, but what you get is feature rich and a reliable board, the bios reset switch on the back is a must for anyone trying to tweak their oc |

ASUS Crosshair IV Formula ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:
None - maybe a little expensive for some (gamers board only)
Pros: Good looking, alot of availability to do what you want, comes in a neat well pacakged box. Comment:
Overall a good board, if you are gamer or 3d intensive user - then you want this board. You can OC anything you plug in to it to about any settings you want. Just make sure to set your ram if it is 1600mhz to 1.25voltage, since it defaults at 1333mhz. |

Cons:
Xi-fi software, Realtek hardware.Memory timings have to be set manually.
Pros: CoolingFeaturesPerformanceBuild quality Comment:
This is a sturdy, feature rich motherboard.I specifically like the LED which indicate what part of the POST the motherboard is on.When I first got this my RAM was bad or had compatibility issues, well because of the LED indicators I knew right away what portion on the POST the system was getting stuck on.Exchanged the Ram for a couple of Mushkin sticks and voila, she flies like a butterfly and stings like a bee.I noticed that Asus has issues with RAM auto timings, never trust this feature always set it manually in BIOS regardless if it is reading correctly or not. Had owned a few Asus boards and this seems a constant. The Xi-fi is a software solution not a hardware solution. The audio hardware is actual realtek with Xi-fi drivers/software, would have liked to have seen Asus audio hardware on this. All in all, this is a great product, highly recommend. Cons:
Last PCIE slot is weirdly designed
Pros: Great board for the price Comment:
Overall this is a great board. Got my 1090T to 4.4Ghz effortlessly. The only thing I didnt like about this board is the last PCIe slot. If you install a video card there you wont have access to the HD audio, some USB and the OC/Unlock/Start/reset buttons. As long as you're not tri-firing you should be fine |

Pros: +very nice design+sata6 support+usb 3.0 support+3-way crossfirex support Comment:
i honestly would have liked to see maybe 2 more sata ports. this is basically the extreme version without hydra. the onboard on/off switch is almost impossible to get to while a gpu is installed in the last pci-e slotgood luck trying to get support from asus, if i were you get the extended warranty from ncix. |

Cons:
NB and SB run a little hot
Pros: Looks and performs great, lots of options Comment:
This board is great, has all the options I'd ever want from a mobo. Lots of overclocking options and a nice bios.Only complaint is the NB and SB get pretty hot, not hot enough to cause issues but hot enough to set off Asus' own temp monitoring software PC Probe. |

ASUS Crosshair IV Formula ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:
NB will get very warm when overclocking. Case airflow is important.SupremeFX audio is just typical onboard sound with a fancy name. it's not a replacement for a real sound cardIt's a full ATX board but you don't get 7 slots, only 6.
Pros: Excellent overclocker. I have my FSB at 300MHz so my 1055T is a 4.05GHzUSB 3.0Lots of fan headers that can be controlled by the motherboard.Lots of PCI-E slots for the future. Comment:
This is a full featured board that will allow you to save money on your CPU if you wish to overclock. I saved $100 not buying a 1090T. |

ASUS Crosshair IV Formula ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:
I don't know what the two PCI slots is doing here ...they should have taken them out and fit more PCIe slots Instead, not really a weakness but this is something they should look.Onboard SupremeFX X-Fi built-in 8-Channel ... yes yes very big weakness here , see the summary for details. If you overclock like mad you will probably need a small fan on the NB and SB bridge. They get hot quickly .. so the chipsets heatsink win a '' just OK '' award in my book.
Pros: Loads of fans connectors( 8 ),useful utilities (Turbo EVO V, RC Tweak, RC post , Core unlocker), onboard power on/reset button. If your not an advanced Overclocker just press the OC onboard button and let it do its magic. Loads of options in the BIOS. Two USB 3.0 ports Comment:
First, let talk about the onboard SupremeFX X-Fi.. if you look closely to the list of the components of this motherboard you can read this : ''SupremeFX X-Fi built-in 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC ''The key word is CODEC. First thing wrong: In the BIOS option you turn on the audio controller with a device named : Azalia HD audio controller. Second thing wrong : on the support CD the audio driver is from VIA. Third thing wrong : on the motherboard itself there is a SupremeFX X-Fi Sticker and under it there is a very small chip not made by Creative Labs...so this is it : there is NO X-FI chip on this board , only a emulator using the CODEC and software of a true X-FI sound Board. You get the exact same crappy onboard sound on this motherboard. So if you want hardware processed sound you still need a dedicated sound card. It's still a kickass motherboard loaded with features but the false SupremeFX X-Fi should not count in your decision to buy or not the board. |

EXPENSIVE!
Pros: All the latest features and everything to keep the enthusiast thrilled. Comment:
This motherboard has more features then I have yet to make use of including several fan heads, and three optional temperature probes that the motherboard can monitor. Awesome connection options on the back and the headers including usb3 gigabit lan and 7.1 surround sound.Have yet to try over-clocking but everything I've read has indicated that this mobo will perform at the top of its category. |

price but got it as a gift so no big deal, ram is too close to Socket so I had to remove my custom cooler to fit my new cpu cooler in.

ASUS Crosshair IV Formula ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:
none so far....
Pros: This mobo has realy great features, love the o`cing profiles, they allow me to diagnose diferent problems with my o`c and to always have a reference to it if an o`c fails. so far i got my 1090t at 4ghz at a cool 35 which is impresive, i only needed to raise the voltage by .2. The cmos buton in the back of the motherboard has saved me allot of time.the core unlocker and small o,c button i have not used simply because I don`t need too, but the start and reset button have been helpful when bench testing before i put it into the case. Comment:
This board is extremly versatile, and i bet if you buy it you will have a good board for the next 3 years. My intention with this build was to have a pc that would not get outdated within a year. The 2 pci e express slots that have tru power (both have X16) will allow me to get my second vidcard when the paycheck permits and when I must do so. This will alow me to get the truepower of both my vidcards:DRight now I am proued with this board and would recomend it to anyone who wants a great o`cing mobo that won`t fail to impress. |

ram slots very close to socketlimited heatsink selection if you buy tall ram (because above reason)passive NB and SB cooling have been reported to not be achieving full contact
Pros: Looks NiceVoltage settings are very fineOnboard power/reset buttonssata6gb and usb3lots of usb ports better than normal onboard audio with 7.1 Comment:
I bought this board because in reviews it showed that it can handle the highest HTT out of the premium am3 890fx boards. This would not be as important if you go with 1090t but since I chose the 1055t which has a lock multiplier...i'd hafta increase fsb to get a higher clock. Overall this board is fantastic and offers many features for its price! Soon I will be pairing it with a corsair h50. |

15 years of playing high end games with asus boards all amd, cheers to another 15. This board owns all, phenom II x6 and 2000mhz memory not to mention xfire X16 x2 full time 1080p, omfg wow |
I enjoy this motherboard and it runs wonderful now. Even so I had some problems with the memory not installing appropriate simply because you truly have to push them in their because of the way its set up. I also had issues with my video card not installing properly mainly because I had to push that into the slot too. Overall though the MoBo has some significant power to it and I really like every thing about it. None seriously besides install.
