ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201 10.1IN LED NVIDIA TEGRA3 Android Honeycomb 64GB Tablet Grey
Cons:fingerprint magnet
Pros:- Crisp, clean screen compared to an Ipad2 - takes MicroSD cards- amazing sound from a single speaker Comment:
I picked one up after the initial release rush in anticipation of a long plane trip coming in a few months. So far I'm impressed with the quality of the screen and the quality of the sound from it's lone speaker.Having played with my wife's Ipad2 for the past 9 months I'm finding myself having to retrain myself a bit on the ICS OS but so far I'm pleasantly surprised at whole package. The fact that it has the MicroSD card on the base unit already puts it way above an iPad for convenience. Now I'm just waiting for my back ordered keyboard and I'll be set. |

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201 10.1IN LED NVIDIA TEGRA3 Android Honeycomb 64GB Tablet Grey
Cons:-Small amounts of backlight bleed, nothing noticeable unless you're specifically looking out for it-Slow, weak GPS capabilities; not locking on at all while my iPhone locks on within 5 seconds
Pros:-Clear display, very bright-Fast-Long battery life-Sleek look-Decent speakers (for the size)-HDMI out, mini SD-Thin and light-Lots of storage space (64GB internal + potential 32GB expansion)-WiFi reception is adequate, not noticing any problems thus far Comment:
Overall, with Android 4.0 this is the tablet experience I'm expecting from Android, and I have no problems choosing this over the iPad 2 (having tried the iPad). Hoping to see more apps that can use the potential this machine has. |
So far I have enjoyed my experience with this tablet. I had one nagging problem from right out of the box. Although there was 25% charge in battery tablet would not charge or stay on for more than 5 seconds. I finally did a reset and unit came to life.Upgrading to ICS was flawless and have had no problems with shutdowns as some other owners are reporting. My only other gripe is I wish the charging cord was longer.
