Could you more expansion ports for a desktop replacement. Also the fact that the only laptop Backpack i can get this thing to fir it, is the one it came with.

I have had this laptop for a little over a month now and it is incredible. It will run most games in full HD with graphics to max settings without breaking a sweat. The screen quality is superb and the cooling is both silent and efficient. It is a very big laptop, heavy and has limited battery life but these are to be expected for a gaming machine. This is a netbook and if you plan to carry it around a lot you might want to check for a smaller lighter 15 inch gaming machine like an MSI GX640 but if you want unsurpassed power for the price, the machine is impossible to beat. |

Pros: Runs everything I play (TF2, SC II Beta, APB, MTG:O) at full settings to my TV at full resolution (1900x1200?).Fans are not audible over its speakers. Comment:
For the price, this is the best gaming laptop available. While it cannot actually be played on your lap, add an external keyboard and gaming mouse and this thing is just as good as any desktop at running the best LAN games.I got this to take to SCII and TF2 LANs and it will not disspoint. Out of the box with Win 7, SCII beta (latest build as of yesterday) runs at Ultra settings at the highest resolution. Looks just beautiful on my TV hooked up with HDMI and wireless KB&M.The laptop's build quality is great, I feel like it could slip off a table, hit the ground and be fine.Included mouse is a piece of junk, but the backpack is a great bonus. Basically saves $100 on a solid monster backpack.Only upgrade I think I'll do is to replace one of the HDDs with a SSD for the Win7/SCII/TF2/CIV5 partition.Highly reccomended. |

This is a great notebook computer. It runs everything from graphics programs to multiple virtual machines at the same time. I am able to run a server 2008, 2 linux and an xp virtual machine in vmware workstation at the same time with excellent performance in all. The screen is beautiful and clear and the video card is great for gaming. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a powerful workstation or gaming machine and the price is great for what you get. |

I bought this as a desktop replacement for gaming and school. It is absolutely fantastic. It runs starcraft 2 beta very smoothly at highest settings, as well as other games (modern warfare2, bioshock2, farcry..etc) all at highest settings. Also, the laptop does not get hot at all, and the fan stays quiet even when running these games. Windows 7 is very convenient to use. I love the dual auto-sizing of windows. I can write reports on one side, and research on the other side. The backpack it comes with is great. I carry it with me all the time now. I can't really imagine girls having this laptop, but for guys, this is a must-have. It is the best purchase I've made for computers. |

This is an excellent notebook computer for gaming as a desktop replacement. First of this kind with a nicely designed cooling system. Powerfull graphic card, however keep in mind that this is not a "true" 5870, much more like a 5770. |
I have loved every minute of owning this laptop. It has not disappointed me what so ever. For this price and the specs with what you get not to mention the best off the shelf warranty i have ever seen come with a Laptop. Obviously there are some draw backs to having a desktop replacement Lappy as your portable computer but, i find all of it easy to live with such as a shorter then expected battery life, but really i did not expect much here anyways. It does have a bit of heft to it which is to be expected. The only other thing i can think to mention is that when it comes to Drivers This Laptop Operates best with the Driers provided by ASUS on their site. Going outside of those approved drivers does ten to lead to problems. That said non of the drivers that Asus has have any issues that i have seen
