ASUS G75VX-RH71-CA Intel Core i7 3630QM GeForce GTX670MX 12GB 750GB 17.3in DVDRW Windows 8 Notebook
Cons:Initial start up was a pain as the keyboard language was not recognized (picked English/Canadian). Suggest to others to picj US/english. Just had to go back and set up wireless and such after first boot. Its heavy though thats not really a con imo as I wanted a beast laptop for gaming. Would have preferred a dedicated SSD rather then hybrid but thats not a big deal as the HD is a solid performer.
Pros:Fast. Great build quality. Fantastic sound. Screen is excellent. Coupled with a quality mouse makes a great mobile gaming solution. Dust filters woot- important to keep things clean and cool.Fantastic cooling. Comment:
A premium gaming laptop for under $1500.Recommend |

ASUS G75VX-RH71-CA Intel Core i7 3630QM GeForce GTX670MX 12GB 750GB 17.3in DVDRW Windows 8 Notebook
Cons:none so far
Pros:Powerful, does what its supposed to, very good bang for the buck Comment:
Got this when it was on the flash sale d $1289.99, after tax and shipping (express) it came to roughly $1500. Ordered Sunday, arrived Tuesday. Was expecting the 750gb drive with the 8gb cache ssd to run faster but speed is still decent. Performance wise it's a beast. I run TERA (ultra settings) on my desktop (2500k, 16gb ram, 120 ssd, 670 gtx) d ~60-70fps. This laptop runs at 40 fps which is superb. For the person that rated this 4 stars, your evaluation is unfair. You knew it was going to be heavy, you knew it was going to be big. Why would you down vote something when the product clearly tells you its big and heavy? Very satisfied with this buy, especially at the sale price. Would recommend. |

ASUS G75VX-RH71-CA Intel Core i7 3630QM GeForce GTX670MX 12GB 750GB 17.3in DVDRW Windows 8 Notebook
Cons:Received it with a dead pixel & awful customer service.
Pros:Fast, responsive CPU-GPU. The 670mx is a great chip and can handle anything I throw at it. Comment:
Great laptop demanding applications & gaming (I reccomend an ssd for even greater performance). I only wish it was in perfect working order when I received it. I had to fight tooth and nail with NCIX to get anywhere. They told me due to ASUS pixel policy it wouldnčt be covered. I contacted ASUS to confirm but was told that policy didnčt apply to laptops. Hummm. ASUS said their shouldn't be any problem returning it for a new one as per NCIX warranty & If your unhappy with the product for any reason return it in 15 days or defects in material and workmanship for a period of thirty days. NCIX told me this warranty didn't apply to my laptop. Hunh... After so much fighting for days when they finally came back and said they would rma it I was defeated and said just forget it. I'll deal with the pixel. So just be careful you dončt run into the same problem as I did. Whats happening to customer service these days. It's sad. Anyway it's a great laptop otherwise but my last purchase from this retailer. 3 stars for the crappy customer serviceGood luck with your purchase! |

ASUS G75VX-RH71-CA Intel Core i7 3630QM GeForce GTX670MX 12GB 750GB 17.3in DVDRW Windows 8 Notebook
Cons:None that I can think of
Pros:Quiet, Fast Comment:
I bought this to replace the desktop as it took up too much room. I also work out of town a lot so I thought this should do everything I wanted and more. Boy does it ever!! I have played all my games on ultra settings and not even a hiccup. It is very quiet and I love the fact that the heat exhaust is in the back so i'm not burning my legs while using it on my lap. Very impressed with this laptop. |

ASUS G75VX-RH71-CA Intel Core i7 3630QM GeForce GTX670MX 12GB 750GB 17.3in DVDRW Windows 8 Notebook
Cons:None major, I guess the screen bezel is a little flimsy for a 1500 dollar laptop, and sometimes my spacebar squeaks slightly...
Pros:Price while on saleKeyboard is as good as a notebook can get. Solid, great backlighting, great feel and layout, easy to type fast.Cleanable dust filtersVery solid buildDoesnt have the little used features like bluray/3d for a massive savings over other g75vx modelsAmazing overclock of gtx 670mxThe soft touch lid, you want to rub it all day. The choice of materials/location of said materials is perfect. Comment:
Over all I am very pleased with this Notebook. The gaming performance is amazing, and I have 'read'the video card overclocks from 601/1400 to 736/2400 stable (yes +1000mhz on memory!) with msi afterburner leading to a massive gain in fps, enough to go from 1600x900 to 1080p in farcry 3 with same frame rate! and increasing only 5 degrees in temp. Boot time is incredibly fast, the SSH is mostly quick and snappy, but sometimes its laptop drive reality shows. The cooling of this laptop is phenomenal, fans are only just a little louder than a normal notebook at simple tasks like web browsing, playing games don't get an obnoxious increases volume, but you know its pushing some air and gets cooling excellent performance. The palmrest/keyboard doesnt get warm. The speakers are great for a notebook and will easily play over other background noises. However, a set of quality headphones are still needed for gaming as you will not hear the small details. Plays gta4 at 1080p, mid settings at 60 fps!Basically this notebook is a beast for gaming, and a bargain compared to others while on sale. saving 700 dollars for the loss of 3d and bluray, 4gb of extra ram you probably would never need or can easily upgrade, and an ssd which you can easily install yourself later (they even include the screws in the accessory box!)Highly recommended! |

ASUS G75VX-RH71-CA Intel Core i7 3630QM GeForce GTX670MX 12GB 750GB 17.3in DVDRW Windows 8 Notebook
Cons:sizejust a tad heavy2/4 RAM slots on opposite side of keyboard
Pros:POWER!!sturdyquiet fansmax coolingpossible second hard drive Comment:
I bought this computer to use for school, aswell as to game. very nice appearance and not too flashy. keyboard is nicely laid out with isolated arrow keys and number pad (BIG PLUS for me as i hate the ones that are all squished together) no problems with the screen, but i have yet to try the 3D. Very fast boot time (10-20 seconds). very sturdy construction, unfortunately mine was dropped (approx 1 foot) but you couldn't tell it was at all. expansion for a second hard drivethe power of this computer is amazing (to me) coming from a 2nd gen 2.4Ghz i7 16gb ram 1gb radeon card(cant remember model) desktop to this is like night and day. can run skyrim at full graphic and 2k texture mods (among other mods approx. 30) at 40-50 fps with no overclocking while running other programs at the same time.things i don't like:hard to find a bag for it, or at least a proper baghard drive is split, not that big of a deal, but frustrating to those who don't know how to change that (me at first)2/4 ram slots are on the back of the motherboard / underneith the keyboard. talking to one of my friends who has a similar laptop (G75VW) to get at those slots is very tricky and can screw with your backlight on the keyboard, and possibly your warranty (don't quote me on that)no blu-ray drive. not a big deal just inconvenient to find a one and install / get it installedAll in all, a very good laptop. Does what it is designed to do VERY well and I would, and have recommended this laptop to others |

ASUS G75VX-RH71-CA Intel Core i7 3630QM GeForce GTX670MX 12GB 750GB 17.3in DVDRW Windows 8 Notebook
Cons:weight
Pros:High Performance, can play all the latest games at max settingsExcellent cooling systemGood build qualityvery fast boot time very good build qualityhybrid HDD Comment:
Got this bad boy yesterday..This is a really good laptop! I have no issues with it's performance and I could play all the games I throw at it with MAX settings. Boot time is really fast less than 12 seconds. No issues with temperature even during gaming. Highly recommended! Only thing I sort of dislike is the weight because it's heavy for me. |

ASUS G75VX-RH71-CA Intel Core i7 3630QM GeForce GTX670MX 12GB 750GB 17.3in DVDRW Windows 8 Notebook
Cons:- The bottom flap is excruciating to put back on.- The bottom flap tabs broke after opening 3 times.- Very hard to get into BIOS.- First few boots, bios could't recognize second SSD.- Heavier than I expected. (Oh well, this is GAMING laptop)
Pros:+ Awesome Build Quality (Except bottom flap)+ Doesn't get hot (63 Degrees C. when gaming)+ Good keyboard layout+ Super Fast booting time.+ Looks/Aesthetics are extraordinary+ Screen is very bright and clear+ Speedy/Silent. Comment:
I purchased this gaming notebook few days ago, and it's FAST. I had some issue when installing SSD to replace SSH. (Momentus XT [750GB]) YES, THIS NOTEBOOK COMES WITH SEAGATE MOMENTUS XT. The hard drive mounting scratched SSD very badly on the side, and hard drive mounting were very confusing to install. Anyways, I didn't have any hard drive issues after that. This notebook is very silent when I am browsing a web and composing documents. It's quite silent when I am gaming too. (May vary, because I play online games that doesn't require much graphic performance. I rarely play something graphic intensive.)I purchased this notebook for video editing. What I have known is that 675M is good for gaming and slightly outperforms 670MX. However 670MX has slight edge for video editing.Audio is one downside for ASUS models. MSI laptops take audio seriously. Few MSI notebooks have 5.1 audio ports and laptop speaker themselves sounds great. Unfortunately for this notebook, seems to have a bug. I plug in my headphone (Speakers), reboot the computer, and sound still comes out of headphone alright, but subwoofer is playing the music too.Even though, booting is super fast, there are always compromises. This time is BIOS. It's either super difficult to get into BIOS or I am pressing a wrong key. I tried "ESC, F2, F8, F9, F12 and DEL."I finally managed to get everything working. |
hi all, I always built my computers (desktop) cause I'm a gamer but I was tired of the space that it took and I have to say ,, this laptop is incredible , I couldn't ask for more for something this size with this power and price $1280 , i'll be adding a ssd 256 and it will be complete :-), who ever needs a laptop that can do anything in stealth mode (NO NOISE)this is it.NCIX gave me great serviceThanks NCIX :-)
