Alright, this is a stick to up right after UPS damaged my card whilst it was becoming shipped... Ultimately got it currently and been gaming for about 4 hours now. Temps in my Antec 600 with fans set to twoǙ and my aftermarket CPU cooler at about twoǛs up I'm happily not exceeding 55C soon after hours of WoW PVP/Raid and an hour of BFBC2 - Each games appear great with graphics completely maxed at 4x AA. 1600x900 - Great frame rates.Card looks good in my case and came with all advertised in the card particulars. I'm using a LOGISYS Computer system PS575XBK 575W Max powersupply, it offers a steady flow of 450w which is the bare minimum for this video card, have not tried to bench mark but from what I've said above it seems to be holding this card up!Extremely recommended card. Performs effectively, and stays cool.five golden eggs. none so far. Comment:
Potentially, the card could have rocked. Was hoping it would be a nice upgrade to my old 8800gtx. It looks pretty snappy. DoA. Really.... it sorta-worked for three hours... (terribly laggy with driver from disk, manufacturer's driver, and Nvidia's most current WHQL)... and finally went to a black-screen and in no way recovered. The factory heat-sink appears kinda flimsy. (Rather... the shroud is flimsy... but the heat-sink itself is pretty stout) I give it two eggs because... as with all points... there's generally a single negative one in a batch. Maybe I got the *one*. Newegg was prompt... and no hassles obtaining the RMA. Now I just will need to fork out for shipping. I may well revise this evaluation later.

Nice high end card for an reasonably priced cost (especially if you get a single of the rebates that seem to be continuously around for these cards lately). Runs cool (cannot get it over 59 C even with a 24ǝ application load) and quiet. General, incredibly well developed. None. Not a con, but this card has the smaller memory 齀mb) and slightly slower memory bandwidth 鴀-bit vs. 256-bit) compared to more beefy versions of the GTX 460. Memory intensive applications will perform a bit slower since of this. Nevertheless, applications relying on the CUDA cores will do extremely nicely. This card is also more quickly at a lower price than it's GTX 460 SE cousin.

I did some analysis just before acquiring these cards....and boy the reviewers were ideal, 2 of these are close to beat my friend's HD 5970 (no kidding!). SLI scaling is just phenomenal. The prosɅ. Price tag/performance: got mine for 跌 including tax & shipping, with 2 cost-free games, and excluding ุ rebate (趤 for SLI)two. Really very good frame rate if you’re playing on 1920 x 1080 res maxō. Sucks much less power and way cooler than other 400 series 鸖’s, 480’s)four. Overclockable at 850񳏀 w/ stock voltagefive. 3D capable!! 1. can't go tri-sli2. it will struggle on a 2560 x 1600 ྾" monitors) even in sli because of 768mb memory. Just FYI: if you have an Asus P6T x58, SLI setup will be a small crammed. I noticed a 10C difference among 1st ࿮C/load) and 2nd ࿤C/load) card due to restricted ventilation of the 1st card. I have a quite excellent case cooling so it's not seriously a issue.

Got this for 贡 after rebate. Quick: Win7 score of 7.5. WoW framerates hardly ever if ever drop below 50 in ULTIMATE vid settings and typically get in excess of 150fps. Runs cool with that oversized heatsink and fan. Card got quirky on me the moment that even soft reboots didnt solve. A complete power down was needed for the card to reset and I've not noticed the issue given that. Not a neg seriously, just an observation. The rebate process was a small far more time consuming than was needed, a entirely paperless rebate would be far better. This unit is relatively massive make so sure you have the space to fit it. My midtower case for all intents and purposes lost a harddrive space Ƒ of five) due to its length. Not a issue for me, but in an additional case it could have been.----AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition Deneb 125W Quad-Core Desktop ProcessorASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD MotherboardG.Ability Ripjaws Series 4GB ƒ x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) F3-12800CL9D-4GBRASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU PrimeǘDI몘MD5 GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Prepared

This card is a quite nice 1 indeed. Not only is the GTX460 architecture(fermi) just awesome, Asus builds a reliable and cool product for you. I identified that my temperatures were far beneath these of other GTX460s on the industry, and right after taking off the original heatsink, I identified out why. The heatpipes are flattened and touch the chip itself, no copper block to heat up 1st.Even so for some significant overclocking, I got the Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus and VR005 kit for ram heatsinks/mounting braket. Brought my idle temp down 2degrees, load about 20C down. Ran Mafia two at 27C easily on ultra settings. Mail in rebate? Card is Massive? Factors I knew before acquiring but worth mentioning. Mail-ins take months to procedure. and the card only fits in a generous mid size or complete ATX case.*** I tried the trial of WoW, and got 1fps. Do not install the GamerOSD system to your pc, it causes troubles even if it isn't running. Just grab the nVidia drivers and the card performs wonderful! If you are into gaming here and there and want to drop some dollars on a wonderful card, this is for you. This card is NOT old in any way. It supports Direct Compute five and CUDA as effectively as DirectX11. I haven't discovered anything this card can't do, and over clocking couldn't be less difficult.

Only 768MB RAM (I knew this when I bought it, I just wanna clarify that you really should most likely save up and upgrade to the 1GB version due to the fact that'll in all probability final you longer and scale with time greater!) Make sure you have a great processor! When I initial bought this, I didn't comprehend my old AMD Athlon X2 4850e ʂ.5ghz was bottlenecking it and thought I had a faulty video card! The Asus reference cooler is amazing, cools far much better than any other GTX 460, drastically impressed. I upgraded from an EVGA 9400GT so i'm living in a graphics wonderland proper now. The card idles at 30-34C and only gets around 45C underload. That's incredibly impressive mainly because Fermi cards are supposed to run HOT.My process specs other than this card are much less than admirable and I get great performance in Just Trigger 2 at 1600x900 with 8x Antriscropy and 4x AA with anything but Water simulation turned on and maxed. I'm making a new technique and figured i'd get the new GPU initially.Present build:XFX 8200 MoboAMD Athlon 64x two 5400+ two.8 Ghz OC'd to three.2Ghz4GB DDR2 1066mhz Corsaid Domniator250GB 7200RPM Seagate HDDAsus GTX 460 768MB GDDR5Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Nvidias current stable drivers suck, this is not Asus or the Card's architectures' fault, stop giving the card bad ratings because Nvidia breaks additional points than they repair each and every update. The cureent Beta drivers as of Jan 4th fixed a lot of problem.I'm finding subpar efficiency in Orangebox Source games but that's mainly since of Valve's horrid patching job to a lot of them durring the Mac Release of all of their games. Half-life 2: Deathmatch is unplayable, but i verified that this is not the GPU's fault, but the game on 64-bit OS's. I will continue to get all Asus components in the future, nothing but high quality to report right here, The DirectCU is not only cool searching but keeps the card operating cooler than the stock option. I had almost given up on Nvidia following the failure that was the GTX 2xx series. Anyone reporting troubles with this card must attempt a distinct set of drivers, and if there's nevertheless a dilemma RMA it.Bear in mind in the professional planet, we deal with DoA items all the time and thus we don't critique items 1 Egg or Star since we got a broken product, we wait till a functioning replacement is offered then write a critique.

Great cooling - Does not come with two PCIE power adapters which you require to run the card, I had to get a bunch of connectors to run a GTX 460 SLI. - Both the Manufacturers drivers' and the nVidia official drivers result in horrible and jerky efficiency, low FPS (under 20 fps somtimes) in comparatively low-demand games like Oblivion. - SLI performance is slower than 1 single card, which tends to make me consider the issue is horrible drivers or a factory defect in one particular or each of the cards. - The housing for the heatsink is flimsy. My motherboard is ASUS, as nicely as other components of my computer. I employed to swear by ASUS, but after this I can't advocate ASUS to anybody in great conscience.I'm utilized to earn a living in Pc repair, so I hope you'll trust my geek cred when I say that I've checked everything. I used a voltage meter to check out if it was receiving adequate energy, and it was. I monitor the temperatures, it's not overheating. I have determined that there is no CPU bottleneck. I've tried a full clean driver install for both the ASUS latest drivers and the official nVidia latest drivers and both outcome in horrible efficiency.(Yes, I enabled SLI in the control panel, if you're wondering.)I've truly checked every aspect of these cards that I can feel of, and the efficiency just continues to be horrible. I cant believe I paid this substantially for such a negative gaming expertise. To make it worse, I ordered these for myself right after a bad accident; Thanks ASUS. :( Now I have to go through the RMA approach.

This has to be one of the very best developed GTX 460s on the market place. I been constructing systems for numerous years now and have to say this is without having a doubt the ideal card I have utilized. The card performs nicely for the value point. It runs particularly cool at idles 28c and below heavy load it only gets up to 46c. Its is inaudible at idle and makes only a incredibly slight noise at heavy loads. 1. Superior efficiency.two. Extremely very3. Low power consumption.4. Runs incredibly cool.five. overclocks well. The asus software stinks if you want to get the most from the card get the Evga Precision software or the MSI afterburner tool. Just make certain you have a good top quality PSU with advised voltage on the 12v rails and this thing will run well.

Works perfectly with currently's most modern games, even when not overclocked, and doesn't run incredibly hot if it has room to breath. A amazing card for the price tag! None 2 of these in SLI would be near perfection for the price tag assuming the games/applications can take advantage of the dual graphics.

Plug it in and it works. Gets a little warm . . . not as poor as the other nVidia cards I have had. Operating BOINC for 72 hours straight this card does the job...Did some benchmarks and it was where it was supposed to be... Haven't OC'd it however. Will need to basically play some games with it. BOINC is type of my measure, if it can run Seti@home for three days solid most any other application will pail in comparison . . . as far as durability goes.A friend of mine has two of these in SLI, he loves them... He games with them... My tasks are a small far more mundane.;)

Card eats anything I can throw at it. Crysis @ highest settings, Negative Business 2 @ highest settings, plays solitaire & minesweeper like none other. Manufacturers need to start flipping their cards. The 'top' of the card points down, which means the fan points down, which, in my case, signifies the air flow gets shot suitable back up by the power provide. A minor annoyance, but nothing to shake a stick at. Sweet card, it just won't make you toast.

Card does anything the description says with no concerns out of the box. Use mine for dual monitors, and I simply play WoW on 'Ultra' and all the settings turned all the way up with no hiccups. I haven't messed with the overclocking abilities however, but they appear to be effortless to use. Presently FPS is awful for Dragon Age II when set to 'Very High' in dx11 mode, but this seems to be an concern with the drivers much more than an problem with the card. From evaluations on the web I have noticed that Radeon cards have *less* troubles. I say less simply because some of the troubles have been found to be with DAII's dx11 support. Not adequate to shed an egg, because it's a lot more of an nVidia issue. Great card otherwise. Would like to get a second for SLI. This was a card to hold me more than until I could afford to get a 580 or two, but it turned out to be much more effective than I thought. Taking into consideration it eats all the games I personally play for breakfast, I don't want the quicker cards but. (Which just gives me far more time to save up for them.)

When I went to install it, I immediately discovered that the PCI-E aux power connectors didn't clear the case. If the power connectors faced to the rear it wouldn't have been an concern. I'm presently returning the card.
