ASUS H87I-PLUS mITX LGA1150 H87 DDR3 Motherboard
Cons:-It's gold coloured ;)
Pros:-Fits into Bitfenix Prodigy-UEFI is simple to use (Compared to the old bios)-Didn't realize how handy it is to have one clip for the DIMM slot vs two.-New firmware update unlocks multiplier Comment:
The design of the motherboard layout is quite roomy. I was able to fit a large air cpu heatsink (Phantek PH-TC14PE) on it without it hitting the gpu or the ram sticks.I was worried about getting a H87 instead of a Z87 because of the lack of overclocking ability, but with the new firmware it unlocks the multiplier allowing light overclocking (i5 4670k g 4.2GHz atm). |

ASUS H87I-PLUS mITX LGA1150 H87 DDR3 Motherboard
Cons:If you're looking for cooling, there's only 2 connectors on this CPU and one CHA. You'll need to convert some MOLEX for more fan power.
Pros:Small, Tidy. Comment:
I've purchased this motherboard to build an ITX PC. It fits nicely in the BitFenix Prodigy I also purchased. It being the first ITX system I've ever built, I was rather surprised by how small the motherboard is. For my next ITX system I may look for a similar motherboard if I'm still building for 1150 socket. I believe there may be some limitations in regards to overclocking with this as it is H87 as opposed to Z87 but I have not looked into it too deeply. The system is not up and running yet. This review is simply for the sake of PC Assembly. |
Picked one up to build a small NAS. Very satisfied with the motherboard, offers a small form factor with 6 SATA ports.
