Cons:-none so far, knock wood :P
Pros:-Simple UI, legacy installation went smoothly using USB drive Win7x64 (not using UEFI atm)-In white H440 caselooks real snazzy, last motherboard was a rainbow-Price, no BS motherboard all you need nothing extra |
Last PC I built was back in 2009. An issue with the motherboard kept causing me to reformat and seeing as it is Socket 1366 it's next to impossible to find a reasonable replacement, so I made a new main rig. I am using this PC for gaming, movies, and whatever. I wanted a decent system that could handle almost everything I threw at it. I am much busier now than I was back in 2009 so I opted for a less expensive motherboard without overclocking capabilities. I somewhat regret this, though so far I've been able to keep things a lot simpler and put my focus elsewhere. This is a great board even without the ability to OC and it saves me $. Not just on the motherboard but on aftermarket coolers, a more expensive CPU, etc. Using this in my build was a breeze. I've read some reports of some people having issues with the I/O panel and at first I did have to do some maneuvering but it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. I have not updated the BIOS and all is running smoothly. Very happy with Asus and will be buying from them again.
