Excellent hardware for mobile gaming
Comment:
There were a lot of unnecessary programs installed that were annoying. It can handle gaming with minor fps drops during graphic-intensive situations at medium-to-high settings but make sure to disable language options in your OS or else you'll get some beeping noise that freezes the game every time you press a button. Again, excellent hardware if you're a moderate gamer or business professional because of the mobile 14' screen size. However, I would've preferred if they made the 14' screen size a square instead of widescreen.(just my preference) It runs quiet, it's surprisingly cool after a couple hours of gaming, keyboard and mousepad takes a week to get use to, and the webcam is a pretty decent quality. Scratch resistant keyboard surface where your palms rests is a nice feature. However, a 15.6' laptop is still a better value if you don't plan on travelling a lot and bringing the laptop everywhere you go. Fast shipping FTW! |

Great Laptop
Comment:
After two weeks, this laptop has been great. I immediately did a wipe of the hard drive, and I reinstalled Win 7 Home Premium. No problems so far. I haven't done much gaming, but it has handled what I have thrown at it so far. |
Reinstalled the OS after a few days of use. I believe Norton 360 was partly to blame, afterwards worked perfectly for a month or so. I'm starting to get a bit of lag here and there as from originally out of the box, but not nearly to the same degree or frequency. Laptop runs pretty silently, 1.3 Gb's of ram used by Windows 7 alone, but can't really dodge that one. Overall very satisfied with choice. Make sure to register your computer through Asus for a free 1yr accidental (just in case)
