This board is compatible with the new AMD 6000 series chips, but ONLY if newegg sends you a board with the right bios chip. I attempted mounting in two EEB instances (ABS Canyon 695 and Silverstone TJ07) and even even though they every single contain backplates, two standoff holes will not align. Minor quibbles. 1 other tip...I'm employing the MIO-888 HD audio card that you can get cheaply right here on newegg. Place it in the initial PCIe slot which is actually a PCIe/MIO dual purpose slot. If you do this you can nonetheless put a device (i.e., GPU) on the 2nd 16 lane slot despite what the booklet states. I have worked with a lot of ASUS desktop boards before, but this 1 is more than the best much better than even the premium desktop boards. Just before this, I liked to employed Tyan boards for server class systems, but this has changed my thoughts. It makes constructing a program significantly easier. It demands dual 8 pin EPS inputs, otherwise it will not turn on. Other boards I have had would work with a single 8 pin connected, this one will not. You have to get a power supply with two 8 pin EPS outputs (the 8 pin video card outputs will not function). And I don't know of any desktop class power supply that has this. So get a server power supply or an 8 pin splitter if you know you have enough wattage
