A Good Deal
Comment:
I got this motherboard with a barebones kit only to find that about two months later that it had gone bad. However, the warranty was still good and their service was good at getting me a new one. This is a great board for the low price but only having 1 PCI bus, a PCI-e x1 and a PCI-e x16 is kind of a drag. |

Good choice for Volunteer computer
Comment:
I purchased this MB as part of a barebones system for our church. Had to build a special install build of the OS because of the driver situation. Otherwise, has been reliable so far. |

Good starting motherboard
Comment:
I grabbed this mobo as part of a barebones kit to upgrade my ancient system. It works great, and my new box is smoking. Only slight downside is having 1 PCI expansion slot (not counting the Express slots) with the transistors right below it limited a couple of expansion options. |

Great bargain
Comment:
Great MB, with both SATA and IDE, and many internal USB plugs. Hard to mount back outlet plate, different from that on case. Drivers did not install automatically from disk. Nvidia LAN driver was greyed out; had to find it on disk. |

A good deal for a finnicky product
Comment:
This board works very well for me, and the price was definitely unbeatable at the time, but there is one very strange and a little distressing problem for anyone wanting an ATI video card, it seemed to fail for me sporadically, but repeatedly... apparently there is some known issues with ATI cards and some NVIDIA based boards where the card will be constantly shifted between two refresh rates, and cause the card to lose contact with the motherboard... never seen anything like it before. Returning the videocard and getting a good NVIDIA card seems to have solved the problem though. I would reccommend it to any value minded NVIDIA supporters. |

caused computer to hang
Comment:
I bought this mb to upgrade older computer. Worked fine at first but computer began to freeze up once or twice per day, eventually got to point where computer would freeze up after only 20 to 30 minutes. I suspect the onboard video. Returned and purchased a cheap biostar board which has worked fine so far (5 days and counting). |

On-board sound has problem; video flicker
Comment:
With Fedora 11, the on-board sound card is not detected. So I got no sound now.... Video also occasionally flickers. |

Good Mobo
Comment:
Good board, works exactly as advertised. Careful, though, only 1 IDE header. I missed that when I read the specs and ended up having to buy a SATA DVD Drive to replace the IDE drive I had. Tried a IDE controller in a PCI slot but then it got confused when trying to boot off of the DVD drive. |

Great Bare Bones Component. The best low priced mother board I have ever used. You can not beat Asus for quality. |

Works as advertised
Comment:
Part of barebones kit. I've bought 4 Asus boards, none have failed. |
If you're looking for a simple board, this is it. Used this as part of a build for a media center pc. My only real complaint is the integrated graphics does not include an HDMI output, and the graphics performance (3d acceleration) is terrible. Aero is supported, but occasionally drops a few frames (in Vista). It's fine if you aren't playing games, and purchase a CPU with enough power to decode video by itself (which is what I did).
