Cons:Could have used the extra sata port as this only has five, but I already knew that.
Pros:Raid setup was a breeze, bios picked up all my components no problem, is Windows 7 ready. Overclocked slightly with no problems. |

Cons:Shame the two PCIe video card slots are only x8 when in crossfire and not x16.
Pros:Easy to setup, already had latest bios.Express gate gives you a linux front end with browser, skype, chat utility as instant on.Heatsink on mosfets, I killed my last board cos of overheated mosfets. Comment:
Like the bored, runs pretty cool, has good overclocking features, and the Express Gate utility as an instant on interface is awesome. Can do that quick web search for movie times without waiting for windows.Board also came with latest bios revision right out of the box, I'm impressed. |

Cons:Buggy bios results in poor unlocking of 4 cores

Although this board is advertised to unlock X2 and X3 chips with the latest BIOS revision (1204) through the "unleashing" feature, it is very buggy. It works, but you struggle with cold booting your system if "unleashing" mode is enabled. |

Cons:Ram slots are situated close enough to cpu that i cant run ram with tall heatsinks as they interefere with my vendetta II
Pros:great overclocker, nice colourscheme (if that matters), with initial bios version i was able to unlock the 4th core on my 720 BE Comment:
Overall its a great board for the price, even better with the amd power of black bundled with the 720 BE. the combo has been great! |

Asus boards in general have been very good to me as I have set up countless systems and most of them performed to my expectations. Just a quick note - there hasn't been very many boards that I didn't have to flash a bios as updates and technology changes very fast so be prepared to flash the bios.
