Purchased this motherboard for my girlfriend's X2 rig to replace an old and dying AM2 board. Because it supports AM2/+Ǚ, its wide open for future quad core upgrade. Integrated graphics are the ideal I've ever noticed, specifically when overclocked. Multitude of capabilities on this board. Great for the cost. Board unlocked Athlon X2 5000+ into Phenom Quad Core with L3 Cache with no issue. 1 of the few boards that has the 710 south bridge you will need to do it. BIOS was easy to use and update. Has an HMDI socket on the board (which I didn't use but is good) and is CrossfireX ready. I was reusing an old case and had to cut apart the front panel connector and splice it into 3 two prong connectors to fit the board. This board is also incredibly short on PCI Express slots. You can't expect too a lot for the price tag, but that becoming stated I would have liked SATA2 or much more PCI Express slots so I could add an SSD to my technique for gaming. Very content with the performance of the method for the cost when I unlocked the additional cores on my processor. I recommend this combo to anyone.

the price and board is very good i have five installed in my store the latch that hold the processor in spot broke and i called asus and they told me that it was my fault the clip failed and user associated damage that it would not be covered by there warranty this is s* ** the warranty claim guy told me that asus will not warranty the component simply because of user error on my component i dont know how i broke it i installed it in june of 2010 been working just fine now i get to call my customer and tell him the warranty is void and to buy a new board it will be gigabyte for now on i trust there boards thanks newegg not your fault asus has negative service

none 1st 1 DOA, 2nd one desides to shutdown randomly. Tested all of the other components and the perform fine. The board is the weak link.Its not even worth it to RMA for a refund, i'll pretty a lot be breaking even following getting to ship back twice.

Excellent motherboard has everything if it functions stable. Sent it back to Asus due to onboard NIC failure. Asus sent me back a new board. It is now operating a raid 10, 2T Ɣx1T HDD) NAS owered by fedora. it broke, but all factors break. ASUS stood behind it I have no problems. If you're searching for an affordable MB for your older chip and memory this is a good selection.

Superb Board currenlty working with three with 1 as a spare. Rarley do I purchase a spare board but i enjoy this 1 so considerably. I will never ever obtain an ASROCK Board once again.
