Got almost everything you need
Comment:
This mobo comes with enough hookups for anything you need. Plently of SATA, IDE (if you still use it), USB headers, etc. I'm running 8 gigs of RAM currently with zero issues. Great product for the price.

It's ok
Comment:
I just would like to say that this board is a great value, but you'll have to buy your own CPU fan or take it off an old computer, I failed to read all the way into it. I will also add that when trying to do a fresh hook up and install I found after a long 2 weeks or trial and error that the primary DIMM slots (BLUE) did not work right, I had almost every error message you could get, that's why it was so hard to find the problem. In the end I decided to keep the board because the Black DIMM slots worked with no problem and I did not want to go through the hassle of taking everything apart again. In the end I would buy this board again.

Unbeatable mobo with ddr2 memory support
Comment:
Plenty of features packed in the mobo. I put in phenom2x4 965be, 4 sticks of Patriot pc-6400 and the mobo handles very well at full cpu capacity. I like the anti surge feature.

ASUS M4A785-M Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: Hybrid CrossfireX technology misleading.

Pros: Good price.
Comment:
Bought this to upgrade my HP a1630n. Easy to install and Windows 7 recognized and installed all drivers right away. Older CPU fan has 3 pin and this mobo has 4 which means fan stays on all the time, had to replace that. System panel connector is different configuration (older 9 pin to newer 20 pin). Basically took it apart and manually hooked up to each pin. Mobo has book with chart, so was pretty straight forward. Wish it came with Q connector. Hybrid CrossfireX technology will not work with most newer HD video cards, mine is ATI HD4830, read compatibility from their website before considering any crossfire. Adapted easily to all my older CPU and Ram. HD Capture Card and Video card work great. Good cheap mobo for upgrading CPU and RAM. If you're looking for some strong gaming features you should buy something better.

I'm happy
Comment:
I'm a total noob. Used this mobo for my first build. I see others commenting on the ''lack'' of features , but I paid a Toyota price for a Cadillac-I'm not gonna gripe because it isn't a Rolls. :) It lets me OC , it puts me online in stupid-fast time by bypassing the OS , and seems to work great with Windows 7 64 bit. I'm calling it a win. Add TD's customer service , and it's a BIG win.

Decent mobo
Comment:
The mobo comes with a GPU overclocking program but I didn't really use it. The TurboKey is a real joke as you don't have access to anything but their built in profiles (all they do is jack up the FSB by like 10%). Use the bios to OC. The HD4200 is good for watching videos and general computer use(I would upgrade to a discrete card for a HTPC). HD4200 will not score well in benchmarks and will not be good for gaming. I upgraded to a HD 5770. There is only one PCI-e slot which is sort of frustrating. Make good use of it! Only one mobo case fan connection. Bright side, great price. Decent bios OCing features. It uses DDR2 ram(cheaper). It is micro!! Works great in my mini tower case. I love the option for a custom start up screen.

A good replacement motherboard
Comment:
I am a computer tech and I bought 3 of these to use for replacement boards. The board is reasonably fast with a Phenom II. But I wouldn't recommend it for overclocking. Works good with 64bit Windows 7.

Outstanding Motherboard
Comment:
Removed this from the box. Mounted in case. Installed 4 core CPU, Ram, and ATA HD. Connected power supply, hit the switch and system booted with zero trouble. You can't ask for more than this in a product. ASUS is the board.

Great Deal, Great product
Comment:
Picked this up along with 4Gb of RAM and a Quad Core (X4 635) all for under $300... couldn't go wrong. Not the best for gaming, as others have mentioned, but for a HTPC... it's perfect.

Careful with memory selection
Comment:
Overall a very nice board, i have built over 100 towers and I am a long-term fan. However, I tried pairing this board with the PC2 8500 2x2GB RAMs OCZ2P10664GK which is on the approved list. They are not compatible with 2 sticks, only 1 at a time. Even after flashing the BIOS I could get nothing with 2 sticks until switching RAM manufacturers.

Dud Video
Comment:
This motherboard worked great on a new build, but, after burning it in for 3-4 hours, I turned it off, and, when I turned it back on, I had no video signals at all. I like Asus MBs, but I guess you get a dud once in a while.

Pretty sweet mobo
Comment:
this board is probably the best bang for your buck if you are looking for a cheap, reliable, and high performance board. it lives up to all the specs including the overclocked RAM. the onboard Graphics can play medium level games without trouble but gets choppy with higer. the onboard sound is truly amazing. 8.1 surround sound on the board is awsome. only downside hardware wise is that there are only 2 ram slots. but for 80 bucks, who really cares?

Another great Asus MB
Comment:
I wasn't aware of the reputation of the AMD 785 chipset when I bought this board all I knew was that I wanted an Asus. It's a great lil motherboard! Tons of features and it runs my X2 630 quad with no issues. It has build in OCing features and you can also manually set them for more advanced users. I used the Auto 10 percent and it works great! No extra expansion slots but I didn't want or need them so its not an issue for me. Processor, video card, memory and GO!

Comment:
I was psyched about this board until I put it in the tower and connected power to it worked for 24 hours then lost USB and Video. I called Asus and after calling 3 numbers I got through and the guy I talked with helped a little but determined it was defective so I returned it hope to get refunded.

Asus quality with HDMI output
Comment:
Works fine now, would have been nice if the specs listed that the HDMI sound and the SPDIF sound are in constant conflict and one or the other has to be switched off via the bios to have consistant sound driver loading.

Its a motherboard, works great so far. Nice and small, not much room for cards but thats why its a micro board. The price is certainly right, and cant go wrong for under 80 bucks,
