Great buy for videophiles
Comment:
This motherboard was easy to install and setup. Gives all the promises of the ads and then some. The only thing I wish it had 2 X16 interfaces instead of just 1. |

Great motherboard
Comment:
Just got this a month ago. Some nice features, but could have had a few more bells and whistles for the money. Works great. Easy install. The onboard video is not great, but does it's job. |

Great board
Comment:
Installed this board with no problems. Runs AMD Athlon II x4 620 and OCZ 4GB (800MHz) no problem. Installed Vista 32bit and Win7 64bit with no hiccups. Really nice audio chipset. I'm using a graphics card so can't comment on the onboard video chipset. It doesn't have a Firewire port and I did have some trouble with the power and IDE LEDs but that's because of the plug I'm using. If you have separate 2 pin plugs for your power button, reset button, power LED and IDE LED, you shouldn't have a problem. |

ASUS M4A785-M Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:1066/1200 RAM speed support only for two DIMMsOnly the cpu fan connector has 4 pins, one case fan with 3 pins on the board
Pros:Very stable, sound quality is great, optical audio Comment:
I bought this bundled with a phenom x4 9150e. It's been very reliable so far. It's part of the HTPC I built to watch tv and listen to music. While building this one, I was very annoyed by the lack of 4-pin fan support, which would have allowed me to control the speed, and the noise. I solved this problem by buying Scythe fans with low RPMs. I was planning to go with 1066 memory since they're very affordable, but I chose to buy two 800mhz DIMMs running at lower latency since I'll probably add two other modules in a couple of years. This is a quality, but basic motherboard. |

Well rounded board
Comment:
I bought this board and a quad cpu at same time. I installed win 7 and once I put in the graphics drivers for the integrated ati chip win 7 and win xp both would show only black screen after the boot win logo. Asus tech support said bad video chip so I returned the board and got a replacement with no hassle. The new board I just plugged in and booted up right into win 7 and didn't even have to reinstall any drivers. The system and graphics performance is quite good. Very nice board and quad amd cpu. I may one day expand with video card upgrade but for now have no need. |

Has to perform to bump my Abit KT-7
Comment:
After many years of a wonderful ABit KT-7 motherboard driving my computer, I upgraded to this one in a bundle from here. So far I have been really pleased with the performance and such nice features as the BIOS upgrade function directly from the BIOS. |

A Sweet Board
Comment:
I use the board, with AMD 2.8 duo-core on board, to process digital audio and it takes all I can throw at it as to number of tracks, DX and VST plugins, working real time, and the ATI graphics on the board are plenty good enough to play most games and watch a video clip, but aside from all my needs being met by the board, I can see where someone could clockup a quad core on this baby and add a monster graphics to this board and be the terror of the gaming lan party. |

Fast enough to handle all of my needs.
Comment:
I was kind of skeptical about a quad core processor selling for only 100$, but for my first build this is all of the power I need. |

This asus model not worth the money
Comment:
Bought in a barebones system for work. Have always loved Asus boards but.. went through 3 mbs that were dead. Finally changed to a different motherboard after spending a couple of hours with Asus support. Tiger was, as always, great about issuing RMA's. Guess it was my turn to finally get a bad batch. |

Good Mobo
Comment:
I purchased with a barebones kit, and once some other issues were resolved, hardware related, non Mobo related, the audio ports turned out to be bad. Returned for another, and so far running with an AMD Phenom x4 with 4 gb ULTRA 2048MB PC5400 DDR2 667MHZ (2 x 2gb) so good. 3 days up almost continually. No problems. Just remember, even the best in electronics can have some boogers and Use an Electrostatic Discharge wrist wrap while installing! |

This is a well rounded board. It has all the features that anyone would want from gamer to programmer to novice user. I recommended this board to a friend and he bought it right away for his new build after I used it on my new build. Right from the box to the case to the on switch it works like a charm! Dont get it and you will regret it. |

Excellent performing budget motherboard
Comment:
I've set this board up with a Phenom II X4 965 processor and 8GB of DDR2 800 Mhz ram, no overclocking yet, though this board looks like it should handle that with no problems. This board may be lacking for a hard core gaming machine, but is an excellent choice for mid range gaming or HTPC use. Onboard graphics puts out to HDMI natively which is a big win for HTPC applications - streaming hi def and blu-ray video works no problem, and graphics is good for an onboard GPU. However, be warned - the 785G chipset says it does hybrid crossfireX - it will only do it so far with HD3450 or HD3470 cards. This may change in the future - I hope - but this was a disappointment and the mfg does NOT make this very clear. Otherwise, excellent mobo! |

Well I bought this as part of a combo set and I have not had any trouble at all and I have had it for about a month now. I am a serious gamer and build computers all the time. I run Windows XP 64 bit edition and installed it in less than 15 mins. The only problem I have with this board is that there is only 1 PCI Express slot. Other than that its a great buy. |
This motherboard is great running put it in a computer I built with 4gb of RAM runs lighting FAST!!!!!!
