ASUS M4A785T-M/CSM Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: None so far

Pros: Great many features desired in a DDR3 motherboard for the least amount of price. DVI, VGA, HDMI, DDR3, AM3, 6 SATA, ATI 4200 chip, sound, solid capacitors, etc...Price is right
Comment:
Purchased this for a recent build and also recommended to a friend for a new DDR3 build. Has many features that were desired for the least price for a non-gaming rig. More than enough for Video editing and watching 1080p movies. Combined with AMD AM3 AthlonII X4 635 Quad Core. Great price for both.

ASUS M4A785T-M/CSM Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: No CrossFire.

Pros: Excellent Price
Comment:
Unless you need a CrossFire board for gaming, this is perfect for most users. I rigged this thing with 8Gig Ram and 3.4Ghz AMD Quad CPU. Also this board comes with HDMI so you can connect the thing to your HDTV and stream media with sound to the TV out of the box! I found that a great feature as I did not buy a dedicated video card yet, but I can still use the built in HDMIAwesome value!

ASUS M4A785T-M/CSM Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: - poor BIOS documentation

Pros: - reasonably powerful onboard graphics- variety of video output connectors- 2 PCI slots (yes, I consider that a strength)- flashing the BIOS is simple
Comment:
We purchased 2 of these in the last few months. We put an AMD Athlon II X3 435 in one, and the Athlon II X3 440 in the other. The onboard graphics are great for everything except more recent games. Perfect for watching DVD's or web surfing or really any other 2D applications. I can't say how good it would be at high resolutions because our largest monitor is a 22 inch wide screen with a native resolution of only 1680 x 1050.2 PCI slots is a strength because we were able to keep expensive sound cards and a TV tuner card When marketers start calling something "legacy" it's just because they want you to spend more money, not because what you already have isn't just as good as the day you purchased it.I purchased RAM that was not on the manufacturer's approved list for one of the boards (the g.skill F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO Eco PC3-12800 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL7-8-7-24 1.35V Memory) because of those nice timings I could get into the BIOS with it, but that was all. Completely unable to install an OS. The solution was to 1) flash the BIOS to the current version then 2) set the RAM timings manually. After that, everything worked perfectly. Flashing the BIOS was easy. I hope this note helps someone.

ASUS M4A785T-M/CSM Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: no firewireno e-SATAlike every MATX board, limited expandibility

Pros: DDR3HD4200 w/ dedicated HDMI and S/PDIF jacks16gb max RAM capacity3x USB banks6x SATA
Comment:
There is no firewire or e-SATA connection on this board (without getting an PCIe-X card), so if you need these connections, this probably isn't the board for you. That said, this is areally good board for an HTPC build. The built in Radeon 4200 is enough to handle large video files, and because the board is an AM3 board, the processor support is future-proofed for at least a couple years. 16GB DDR3 RAM support is nice for the times you need more RAM, and the S/PDIF and HDMI out is great for hooking up to the TV and reciever.
