ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: Onboard video decent, but cannot handle high end games. Bios automatically puts new SATA drives as default boot drives.

Pros: Great price. Easy overclocking. Crossfire ready.
Comment:
This is an excellent board for overclocking, easy bios navigation. Have it paired with an AMD athlon X4 640 Quad and 4gig OCZ gold ram. Runs great.

ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: Manual explanation of BIOS options is a joke. Realtek network adapter is trash and refuses to work (says cable is bad) at any speed setting over 10mbit/s.

Pros: Very easy installation, the bios recovery features and so on are really amazing. The last machine I built was an AthlonXP 3200 on an EPoX board, so it's been a while, and things have come a long ways.
Comment:
BIOS seems to constantly put new storage devices at the top of the boot list; e.g. if you boot, plug in a USB drive, and reboot, it will reorder your boot devices and try to boot off that USB drive.

Good board, easy to work with
Comment:
I bought this board are part of my first new build. I purchased in person from here in Markham Ontario. I had hoped for a for a different board with USB3 and SATA3, but there were none in the store. The price was right, and I was pleasantly surprise how easy it was to work with. Installed great into a CoolerMaster Elite 330 case, worked great with Phenom II X 4 processor and OCZ platinum DDR3 1333. No issues at all, it posted fine first try, and was reasonably well detected with SimplyMepis Linux, although the on board Radeon HD4200 chipset requires some tweaking in linux. I found the bios settings allowing booting from a Live USB to be a little awkward as you cannot have a HDD and USB set in the boot priority. All in all, I'm quite please and it was significantly cheaper than expected.

ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: if anything it the I/O case plate that can be a little troublesome for some people.

Pros: Fully loaded, CHEAP, looks great, unlocks cores with ease, overclocks well, DDR3, AM3...its future ready
Comment:
for a $100 board you get pretty much everything you get in a more expensive board but for a great price. nice looking heatsinks, no gawdy colours. Unlocked and overclocked my AMD Athlon X3 435 2.9ghz to a quad core 3.48hgz with a few clicks. Great board v a fantastic price point

Awesome... But
Comment:
Great motherboard. I'm using DDR3 2x2gb 1333 Ram, AMD Phenom II X4, 500gb hard drive & Windows 7 (64 bit). The only PROBLEM is the onboard video card. It's not good enough for high end gaming. My sims 3 only works smoothly ar 1024x768 resolution & the visual settings at 50%.

Very good board - Great BIOS
Comment:
I've always bought Asus or MSI mobos. This is probably the best board I've had. I bought it specifically to take advantage of the AMD Phenom II X2 555. Outstanding pair.

Great overclocker
Comment:
Great board, as always with Asus. perfect for overclocking, has infinite control of all aspects. Software incl for overclocking within windows, no reboot needed. This board is sexy (yes, I said sexy). You need a clear sided case to enjoy all aspects of this board. There are a few better ones, but overall value is great. Highly recommend.

ASUS Quality
Comment:
Another quality product from Asus. Paired this up with AMD Phenom II x2 and was able to unlock 2 extra cores on the processor. Bios is very in depth, providing control over everything.

ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:Has headers for parallel and serial ports but comes with no port adapters included. My UPS communicates via serial cable, so had to scurry around for an aftermarket adapter.

Pros:Has many desirable features at a budget price.
Comment:
A great board for a budget build.I've got mine teamed up with an AMD Athlon II X2 250 (SKU 39336) selected for its low power consumption, and 4GB of G.SKILL memory (SKU 30167) I am very happy with this combo as a general purpose home office computer that is never powered off. Always wanted an ASUS MOBO
Comment:
Back in the day ASUS was the top of the line only the cool kids had em, always wanted one but seemed to get something else cause it was cheaper. At 100 bucks I went with the name features and price point. No problems with installation, very interested to see how the EPU works out. Bios is sweet, I was able to unlock my 2 Core Phenom to 4 Cores but set it back to 2, not much need for 4 cores at this time although it was fun to benchmark. Very happy with purchase I hope to benefit from the power saving features.

DOA let down
Comment:
Replaced with a different brand of board solved the problem. Pros: Good looking board, with rich feature set. Cons: DOA; first return experience with an online purchase ever. I was not able to benefit from any of the features. Floppy drive cable was too short to reach on this new board. Unable to contact Tech Support via live chat, email or phone. I did my homework and I still got burned. I will probably stick with brick and mortar stores for motherboards in the future.

ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons:- some of the connectors location on board (just a minor)- Had to add a parallel connector for an older printer (which has no USB connection)

Pros:- Features- Price
Comment:
I installed this MOBO with AMD-955 cpu, 4GB G-skill DDR3 rams, windows 7.Everything went very smooth.I am not a gamer, so the onboard video card does a fine job for me. I am using DVi connection right now, will try out HDMI connection soon. I am also using 5.1 audio from this board, another plus feature.I was a little disappointed because i have to add on a parallel connector for an older print which has no USB connection.Over all it's a great motherboard for the price.

Comment:
Great all around budget MoBo with lots of high end features. The BIOS has plenty of options for set up and OC'ing and very user friendly, EZ-Flash works very well and quick with a USB thumb drive. The integrated graphics runs Win 7 Aero with no problems and you can game surprisingly well with all the eye candy obviously turned off. Excellent board for a $100, highly recommended.

Cons:Location of 12v 4-pin power connector

Pros:Price, lots on-board & plenty of expansion slots.
Comment:
I did not really appreciate the location of some of the connectors. Overall though, for its price, this board comes with everything you'd want on-board. Bought two for a client.

Great MB
Comment:
Perfect for what I needed. Onboard video, but room to add vid cards later.4 gigs of DDR3 ram, and a AMD 550 to go with it, never seen XP run this fast. boots in 10 secs flat. Esata port, and hdmi are a plus as well as the price.
