Installation is a snap. Appears to hold up nicely right after a month. Easy standard board for everyday use. Great high quality for the cost you spend. At least boot up on very first attempt. No HDMI, If you are going to purchase this for your HTPC you require an adapter for the cable. If you want speed this is not the board you want. Spend far more and the get much more feature board. |

Lots of function for the cost, DDR3, three internal usb Headers, 6 Sata ports. Nice. Quite Finiky Board, If you don't Do every little thing just so with it it Crashes, BSOD's, Hangs, refruses to post... Whilst all this is taking place its corrupting the windows install :( Biggest con it the BIOS is OLLLLLD. so newer elements don't play nice. There is a Purpose I Buy Gigabyte Motherboards.. They perform.. In all my years of building and repairing Pc's I've not operating on a motherboard with so numerous querks. You Go from on issue to the subsequent. If you acquire this board, ahead of you do something update the Bios, Do not set UMA framebuffer size more substantial than 512 MB. Set Fram buffer size to below 4g. three Days of Tweeking and I believe I finally have a stable board, Its for my HTPC, which is ok due to the fact i'd not let it go to A client, its just to finiky. ASUS you need to have to invest additional time on quailty handle, for the common guy, he would never be capable to get this board stable enouph to use, shameful. |

NONE Board arrived, plugged it in, it refused to boot up...I altered power supplies and it nonetheless refused to boot up. I altered computer system situations considering maybe there was a brief in the power switch on my case...effectively it started then refused to post. Would have expected far better from Asus,..wanted to make a new comp for a friend for christmas, but didnt recieve the parts in time, and now I have to RMA a poor board. I went with Asus cause a friend suggested them. so far they havent given a excellent impression. At this point I say keep away from this product. spend your funds elsewhere. |

Nice board. Assembled all the components, turned it on, all worked fine. Stable. Utilized a Phenom II X4 840 cpu, so didn't do the core unlocking. Also I didn't overclock. Per the spec, limited to 95W energy CPU's |

I kept one egg off this assessment for myself...But truly this board was sent to me, installed the 6-core AMD 1055T two.eight in it, and it wouldn't recognize. I spent a little time and finally hit the interewebs for an answer. The bios wasn't up to date and needed to be flashed. Once I did that, and it lastly knows the processor, I'm nevertheless hit with a "This CPU is not supported, please hit F1 to resume" just before I can get into Windows. The BIOS requires to be fixed on this..just about every reboot now, since updating, brings me to a screeching hault and I HAVE to hit F1 to continue past the POST screen because of the "CPU not supported" warning. I can F1 / resume and it goes into Windows, but it's nonetheless a nag i'd like to have gone. |

Unlocked the 4 cores for me as well on a 3.2 gig AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto. Loaded down with memory tbis machine honks. If you don't know, VirtualDub is video processing computer software. It puts a heavy load on the CPU, and eats memory for breakfast. But what utilized to take numerous, several minutes now requires a couple of, and what took a few minutes requires seconds. VideoPad (different from VirtualDub) commonly finishes in much less time than it takes to get a refill. The rebate is a undesirable joke. Asus, what's the matter with you? If that's the finest you can do just don't bring up the subject in the first location. By selection I run the built-in video and audio. Hulu and YouTube each function fine using AT&T 6-meg service ƕ.7 meg download actual). By the way, a graphics card, if you have a single, is for games, not video processing. Video processing is carried out by the CPU and memory. No gamer here, but I'm pleased as punch with me. A kickbutt machine for something under 跌. * Support for sext-core CPU's* Help up to 8GB RAM* 6 SATA bus'* Manual is simple to adhere to; unlike most. * BIOS was waaaaay out of date. It was 400 anything and most current is 606. * Out of box BIOS supports up to X4; I don't know about X6 out of box; that calls for most up-to-date BIOS. |

A decent board for the cost. Unlocked my triple core 2.9 without me getting to do significantly thinking. At my age, ), alot of thinking is painful. The only issue that I had was giving the onboard video to significantly to eat. I gave it a full gig of program memory and it went wild, BSOD, etc. Immediately after I cut memory down to half a gig the video became as stable as an add on video card that breaks the bank expense wize. Not as fantastic as the old Abit boards, but a fantastic strong board for the cash. Not a lot in the way of cons. Hey, you get what you spend for. Newbies, read the manual front to back just before you start plugging stuff in. Spare yourself the discomfort. In 20 years of obtaining Asus boards, I have but to have a single go bad just before it's time. I just retired an Asus board that I utilised for 6 years without having any trouble. |

Utilized DDR3 RAM, could have used a fantastic quad core processor which would have been good but, came in DOA. They returned it very speedily on the other hand. DOA soon after order but, quick return to get Computer up and running. Very good Brand to use as a replacement Mother board, I have always had excellent luck with newegg.com and, if there is a difficulty, they take care of it really rapid. Excellent location to acquire Computer stuff. |

Excellent inexpensive board. Pretty much all drivers for this board are detected by Windows 7. The error on bootup can be misleading for those that don't read directions. If everybody that uses this post has a tech rating of 5, I guess I'm a 10. I purchased two of these boards with the newest bios version 704. For those that are acquiring the hex core problem of getting the error: "This CPU is not supported, please hit F1 to resume", merely hit the number Ɗ' in the course of the logo post. it will reboot the Computer and all six cores will be recognized permanently and the error message will go away.Thank me later. |

Future proof board DDR3 and AM3 Socket. Other than that I don't have any very good points to say. Most boards now have light or beeps to support program builders this board has none what so ever. So immediately after the board began sparking and smoking I assumed it was my PSU. PSU functions perfectly but the board fails to boot and took CPU and RAM with it. This is possibly the worst construct I have ever carried out. I make about two computers a week for side funds and this was the worst piece of hardware I have ever touched in my life |

price, enough characteristics to preserve even above average users happy In over 20 yrs Asus has often beenmy 1st choice but this 1 missed thr mark . I bought 2 ,each with identical cpus and mem, Each refused to boot with each ram slots populated( 2 2gb chips on their approved list) ok I instal win7 os working with 1 chip, updated OS ,Seemed stable , ran Memtest86 all fine, Inserted second chip got flakey again,re moved 2nd chip now hangs at boot with 1 chip swapped chips around still issue , clr cmos now boots with 1 chip,, updated os and it finally accepted 2nd chip,,this is unacceptable but I figured perhaps just a quirk and would reside with it, started second buils and ran into the identical challenge only worse,, kept swapping mem( I had 12 gb of the exact same stuff from another technique that ran fine) did all the memtest stuff and the mem is excellent, of course I already knew that as the other program ran fine I, finally got it to boot on 1 stick managed to get the OS installed & flashed the Bios,,stuck in the 2nd chip ,,yep won't boot ,In reality now it won't boot at al As luck would have it Among testing and other stuff I am beyond Neweggs 30 day warrenty and the ASUS internet web-site is useless I purchased a Gigabyte and it works fine,,stay away from this model,,it is not prepared for prime time, Most reviewers who comment I can tell are less than compentent to give a evaluation, but those that commentde on this board were appropriate |

No concerns whatsoever. Out of the box, and up in running in under five minutes. On board video was a sluggish. As expected - adding a discrete card vastly improved performance. It's a simple uATX board with integrated almost everything. Win7-64 didn't choke on install, and loaded suitable drivers with out any muss or fuss.If I were to develop 10 workstation systems tomorrow - I wouldn't hesitate to use this board. |

I have in no way overclocked anything ahead of. This motherboard automatically did the operate for me. When I powered my build up the 1st time it automatically unlocked a core on my CPU and set automatic overclock settings for my CPU and RAM. Its been operating smooth with no difficulties. Only two memory slots on the board, which limits future upgrade potential. paired with an AMD Athlon II X3 435 Rana 2.9GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Processor Model ADX435WFGIBOXit runs as a quad core phenom II with no difficulties. |
