Wonderful price tag, SATA 6Gb/s and USB three.. Lots of USB ports and expandable to far more. Good expandability. Layout is questionable. In order to run just one particular graphics card, you need to run the bottom slot and have a spacer card (for lack of a better word) in the other slot. That gives you x16 on your one particular card, but if you don't place that card in or if you run crossfire you can only get x8. The "spacer card" is offered.Obtaining to use the bottom ports can lead to some wiring headaches. Many plugins are all along the bottom of the board, so if you have a big graphics card, watch out. |

Tons of bios functions (as to be anticipated with ASUS boards), good expandability and stable in OS overclocking tools are good. As many five star ratings as I've seen this board get, i can't believe there are not additional complaints on the boot time! This board posts incredibly slow... in reality its the slowest posting/booting board I've ever owned ASUS or not. I tinkered with multiple settings and I've updated to the latest CMOS but to no avail. Sometimes it will take a complete eight-10 seconds prior to I even see a post splash screen! I suppose for some this is a minor situation, but when you are seeking to get the most performance out of your machine it feels like a genuine kick in between the legs to drop 赨 on a good SSD and being able to boot into windows faster than your motherboard can post. :( |

SATA 6G, USB three., HDMI. The passive chipset cooler is considerably much more sturdy than the cooler that came on my Gigabyte AM3 mainboard. EATX12V connector is quite tall to clear the MOSFET heatsink. Although not necessarily a con, it does make the connector feel a bit flimsy. Had some difficulties with my initial boards, that turned out to be my PSU failing. Extremely poor timing on my (or my PSU's) element. |

Wonderful capabilities on spec sheet. Haven't tested any given that motherboard got damaged in shipping. I received Motherboard with bend corner. It was poorly packaged and ups is becoming blamed by newegg. The box motherboard was shipped in, not robust adequate to defend contents. Now I have all computer components and have to wait two weeks to get a replacement motherboard. There appears to be problems packaging and sending items by newegg. I have under no circumstances had any concerns with the other on-line giant. Newegg also place heavy energy provide on top of 赼 CPU in the box and it almost got crushed in shipping. The CPU tower box looked like it went by way of a war zone. Luckily the pricey coolermaster minitower wasn't damaged. I'm extremely disappointed by the whole expertise. I'll be looking at buying in retail shops or other online retailers in future. |

Same as last post Identical as last post Just posting in reply to compuwsrd's post about the realtek onboard NIC. I ended up installing Windows 7 Pro on my build and I couldn't use my Linksys wireless USB NIC so I installed the drivers offered for the Realtek and as soon as I plugged in the cable windows detected by network and I was on the Internet. Have no problem employing onboard NIC and I am also making use of on-board sound card till my X-FI titanium arrives at the end of the week. Played Borderlands on Computer just fine, needed to reduced resolution to 1280x1060 but I'm suing the Radeon 4290 on-board chip. This motherboard with all the features and on-board options is fantastic for building or testing, have had no difficulties at all and would hugely advise this board to any person. |

Has All S.A.T.A three., six.. Nonetheless has IDE helpUSB two., 3.Many OC choices in BIOS (expected from ASUS)Good Build in graphics, Plus Hybrid technology to function alongside your graphics card. Slow to Postthe S.A.T.A ports are to close to the PCIEx16 slot and therefore placing in a major graphics card makes it a tight cable method. Its a good motherboard for a heavy OC person or just an easy upgrade from any old Computer given that it nonetheless supports IDE and 1066 RAM (only con from that upgrade is that it only supports AM3 Socket) |

SATA three, USB 3, Overclocks nicely The layout for the PCIe 16x slots is moronic at ideal. I would of never ever of purchased it if I had recognized that in contrast to just about every other motherboard on the planet this a single has the main 16x slot in the middle of the board so my 6870 is rubbing suitable up against the SATA connecters. If I had identified this i would of just purchased the ASUS 890FX board... If your going to be using a tiny reduce end card or the built in one particular this is best for your use but if you going to be running a mid-higher end card like the 6800 series don't bother buying this board get the 890fx or a diverse brands board with a much less moronic layout. |

Overclocking is easy, and I was capable to very easily get my 8 Gigs ƒ x 4 GB) Patriot Viper Extreme 2000 Mhz RAM operating at complete speed with just a couple of tweaks in the bios. Operating a Phenom II x6 1100T at three.75 Ghz very easily, strategy on tweaking it up to four Ghz soon.I have 4 160 Gig Seagate Sata 3 difficult drives in a 4 drive RAID zero configuration not as very good as having a SSD but it is an improvement from a single difficult drive. WEI with a single drive was five.9 with the four disk RAID it improved to 6.three and is definitely a noticeable improvement in information transfer and method response and boot time. Exactly where to begin? I began out with problems finding the RAID set up, and I was wrong in my last critique about getting solved it the way I mentioned I did. The RAID was seriously quirky immediately after being set up and would not constantly boot soon after restarting. I also ran into the challenge other people have noted about the front usb ports from time to time causing technique lock up and or shut down when you plugged anything in to them. Following spending days attempting to steer clear of having to return this board back to another on-line outlet I purchased it from(newegg was out of stock at the time) I realized the supply of this board's problem was the on board Graphics. Although the quality of the graphics was excellent for an on board set up but after I disabled it in the bios and uninstalled all the associated AMD/ATI drivers/software and installed a affordable video board I had lying around everything became stable and the technique restarts and boots just about every time with no issues. Also I haven't had an problem with the Front USB ports since then either. The only bug or quirk I have still noticed due to the fact solving the majority of the issues and quirks this board has is that there is an annoying hiss of static more than the audio channel when shutting the system down for like 5 seconds. I feel I can live with that.I wouldn't advise this board to any person specifically these arranging on setting up RAID and employing the on board Graphics. I have a need for speed but I don't need to have crazy graphics so that is why I bought this board in the very first place to save the expense of getting a separate graphics card. |

I am sorry to hear that so a lot of folks are having challenges with it. I did have some troubles adjusting the RAM at first but I easily reset the BIOS settings (CMOS reset) and I basically rebooted. I love the small POST diodes that inform you what is wrong. I quickly knew what was incorrect and worked to resolve the concern. I would advise this board to every person. As for graphics it can't actually deal with shadows well. I played WoW on ultimate settings with realistic water and ultimate shadows and had to turn down shadows and water becasue of some tearing but I still had about 30 FPSI am operating it with a unlocked AMD II X2 555 Black Edition (unlocked to x4 using the MB) and a couple sticks of G.Talent Ripjaws ƒ x 2GB) DDR3 1600. Good price, wonderful overall performance, and wonderful stability, specifically what you anticipate from ASUS. Paired this board with the 1090T black edition, 8GB of Corsair XMS 1600, XFX 6950 1GB and an antec 750watt power supply and this machine has been rock steady. No BSOD, no locks, no restarts, does what it is supposed to. None as of yet. Good Board with all the fantastic functions. I should have stayed away from this board as recommended by numerous others on ASUS forums and here at newegg. This MOBo has a design flaw with the onboard USB ports for the front panel. Each and every time I attempted to use a usb flash drive, computer would freeze/reboot. If you don't plan to use front panel I/O ports, go for it. |

* as well a wide range of to list * ASUS has me so loyal to them I have no notion how their competitors compares Initial an A7V, later an A7V8X-X, and now this beast. It taught me how to overclock. The AMD chipset is impressive, in particular the 4290 video portion, which gives me time to plan any future GPU upgrades. The multi phase power circuitry gives me peace of thoughts, which is relatively valuable to me. |

USB 3., SATA three Ɩ.), and each and every other choice you could ask for. The whole make went with each other without having a hiccup. Strong drivers, except the one important problems in which I'm guessing could be fixed with a BIOS update if ASUS ever listened to their client complaints. As every person has pointed out, the front USB issue that is seemingly becoming ignored by ASUS to repair. When you plug specific devices in it seems to place the personal computer in a suspend/sleep mode if you will, but won't come back out of it till you reboot, then on reboot BIOS says that overclocking failed and wants you to either enter BIOS or carry on with boot. If it wasn't for that, it'd be a rock strong and rapidly motherboard! The new RAM slots are actually goofy, but workable, not also a lot of a con I guess. As of proper now, I'm not recommending this board to any person simply because of the USB dilemma. It's a major hiccup that ought to've kept the board from ever being released in my opinion. Hopefully ASUS will retain their clients happy by figuring this problem out prior to I completely lose hope in their prior customer practical experience/support. |
WOULDNT Actually KNOW!!!!!!! bought this board and cpu combo. got a x6 six-core AMD. according to the newegg site this board supporded DDR3 1333 and DDR3 1066. bought 8 gigs ƒ X 4gig)...my computer system would not start. immediately after many hours of cursing and reading the manual over and over once again it turned out that the 1066 ram i purchased...will can go any larger then 2 gig sticks. but on 1333 it ill help up to a eight gig stick. isnt this some thing that ought to be posted?!?!?! board nevertheless sounds promising. cant wait to get in new ram and test this baby out!!
