ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 ATX AM3+ DDR3 AMD 990X 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 1PCI USB3.0 SATA3 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:poor USB 3, pcie V2.

Pros:Asus, aesthetics, features...
Comment:
Over all it's pretty good. I have had trouble with USB 3. One header on-board doesn't work, front header is intermittent. Surprising it's still only Pcie V2. Been using this board since 2012.

ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 ATX AM3+ DDR3 AMD 990X 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 1PCI USB3.0 SATA3 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:Post can be better when settings are incorrect. Would have been helpful to see a non system disk, or OS not found message.

Pros:Light indicator for when things go wrong.
Comment:
This is the first board i didn't cheap out on. Like the led indicators to know where it hangs up during post. One issue i had was my boot order was wrong. I thought it was a bad cpu at the time since the cpu light with go on then the system would shut down. then every time i turned it on the cpu light would flash. removing power would let it boot again.

ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 ATX AM3+ DDR3 AMD 990X 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 1PCI USB3.0 SATA3 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:BIOS doesnt always save.

Pros:Looks nice, overclocking is great, stable.
Comment:
Works great, sometimes the BIOS does not save though and ends up reverting to this random setup which makes me clear the CMOS.When it doesnt do that, I can get a great overclock on my build. I would purchase again.

ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 ATX AM3+ DDR3 AMD 990X 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 1PCI USB3.0 SATA3 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:Takes a bit to boot because of all the Jmicron drivers but they can be disabled if wanted. UEFI takes a bit to get use too (Just Different).

Pros:Very Fast, works with almost anything. UEFI is very easy to use and works wonderfully. Sata inputs are actually usable with a large Video card!!
Comment:
I would definitely suggest this Mobo for anyone wanting a nice gaming rig. Looks awesome with the blue led's i have shining on it.

ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 ATX AM3+ DDR3 AMD 990X 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 1PCI USB3.0 SATA3 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:No stickersIf you had a large CPU fan, you might have to switch to a cooler to free some DDR3 slots. Don't worry, the first slots that you mount your rams in wont touch the fan, only if you go with a full stack of RAMs. (4x slots used)

Pros:It works well on my fx 8350, nice blue looking, low price to build a well gaming computer and EFI bioS from asus looks nice . CoolnQuiet works pretty well and the mobo fits well in a CM 690 II.
Comment:
Just added some 1866 ripjaw and they works fine. I didn't even have to oc, it went auto to 1866. (2133 need to oc at bios)Worth the price, go for it !

ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 ATX AM3+ DDR3 AMD 990X 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 1PCI USB3.0 SATA3 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:none

Pros:Asus board, more capability than I'll need, but good to have Usb 3.0 etc
Comment:
FX8350, 32Gb ram, XFX HD 6870 etc runs great, everything works as expected.I keep trying to bring myself to do an Intel build and try a different brand board but I can't do it. First build was an AMD486DX2 in Asus board, been working for me for the last dozen or so builds. I did a couple P4 builds for friends who had to have Intel but....I guess I'm too old to change my ways lol

ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 ATX AM3+ DDR3 AMD 990X 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 1PCI USB3.0 SATA3 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:...nothing

Pros:works and looks good doing it
Comment:
I bought this board to replace my MSI 970A-G46 which was a dud, but this one I actually have a little faith in, it feels tougher than the G46, it's true black and it's heat sinks are big enough that I feel comfortable overclocking on this board, I cant think of anything on this board that I don't like other than the placment of the frontpanel audio conectors which are over the powersupply and my case doesn't have enought room to hide them but other than that I really like this motherboard. If your building a mid-level gaming rig I would completly recomend this board. If it helps It's running FX-6300 out of the box on Ubuntu 12.04 just fine.
