ASUS Maximus IV GENE-Z/GEN3 Z68 LGA1155 mATX 2PCI-E16 1PCI-E4 SLI CrossFireX HDMI SATA3 Motherboard
Cons:none
Pros:Great Board. ROG makes it easy to OC your CPU Comment:
This is a great little board. The included ROG software makes it simple to OC your CPU. I have 2 rigs with I7-2600K CPU's and quickly and easily OC to 4.7 GHz. The BIOS is easy to work with and the board has more than enough IO ports. Highly recommended board for it's ease of use. |

ASUS Maximus IV GENE-Z/GEN3 Z68 LGA1155 mATX 2PCI-E16 1PCI-E4 SLI CrossFireX HDMI SATA3 Motherboard
Cons:Vid card and Noctua NH-D14 little snug
Pros:Asus, Nice looking, OC with ease, NOT GIGABYTE Comment:
My 3rd Gigabyte board crapped out, and seems to have a time limit because it's always 2yrs and blah. So gave them the finger as well as AMD and never been happier. This Asus Board was easy to OC nice looking board. With all the positive reviews of ASUS more than 2yrs of life in this board. And judging from reviews around about this particular board, all are positive, thus why i picked it. |

ASUS Maximus IV GENE-Z/GEN3 Z68 LGA1155 mATX 2PCI-E16 1PCI-E4 SLI CrossFireX HDMI SATA3 Motherboard
Cons:None for me.
Pros:Tons of featuresGreat for overclockingLooks very niceGreat price Comment:
This is a great little board. It has all the features I was looking for at the right price. I don't need all the extra pcie slots that comes with the Extreme Z, so why pay $150 more for something that I'll never use?The BIOS is extremely easy to navigate and has a ton of overclocking features, probably more than I will ever need.An ROG board and it's only $200. I'm happy with my purchase. |

ASUS Maximus IV GENE-Z/GEN3 Z68 LGA1155 mATX 2PCI-E16 1PCI-E4 SLI CrossFireX HDMI SATA3 Motherboard
Cons:Only 2 PCIe that are really close
Pros:An overclocking beast, USB 3.0, Lucidlogix, Tons of enthusiasts. Can fit in EVRY case with its samller size. (Done on purpose) Comment:
I was a little skeptical of the board as first because of it's small size Boy was I wrong. This board has ALL the features of the full size board except is has fewer PCIe slots making the board smaller, for that I saved $150 from buying the full size Maximums. Anyways this board was MADE for enthusiasts and OC really easily. It also has a small LED numbered screen for precise motherboard diagnostics plus the usual led lights. There's also a physical power and reset switch. and an emulated(hardware/software) SoundBlaster FX, which has been the BEST on board sound I've heard on a mobo. The board really has to many options to name like Lucidlogix and ROG gamer first for to manage your internet connection. I would also say this board was easily underpriced by $100 and should cost more. I've NEVER over clocked a CPU as easy as this. You can really just select on option and get an instant 4.6 GHz stable. I would highly recommend this board. |

ASUS Maximus IV GENE-Z/GEN3 Z68 LGA1155 mATX 2PCI-E16 1PCI-E4 SLI CrossFireX HDMI SATA3 Motherboard
Cons:None
Pros:It works! Excellent bios. Very easy to setup. Looks good too. Comment:
For my new build I was worried my Zalaman 135mm CPU cooler would be to big. I worried for nothing. It had plenty of room. |
WARNING WARNING : i bought this motherboeard with a cpu i5 3750k. the probleme is, the version of the bios is too old too handle my Cpu. i need to flash the bios the be able to run this cpu. So if you buy this motherboard with a recent cpu its possible to have a MB with the oldest bios version, so you want be able too boot at all. You have to install your windows with a older cpu ( go to asus to see what cpu can wun on the first version of the bios ) and then flash your bios with the asus utility, then switch your cpu. And no Flashback feature on this Mb....
