ASUS does it again
Comment:
As a system integrator and retailer for over 20 years I have always had incredible results with ASUS products. This one is no exception. Built this system with an I7 975 extreme processor with 12GB Kingston Tri Channel RAM and a RAID 5 HDD configuration. Build went smoothly and no issues with anything. Running Autocad 2010 flawlessly. Great board at a great price.

Works great for me.
Comment:
I haven't had a problem with this board. I have 12GB of RAM in it, and it read every bit of it the first time I powered it on and every time since. Yes, you do need a 64bit OS to see over 4GB, and you should know that already from your research if you're wanting more than 4GB. Don't fault the board or the company for your lack of research. A bad overclock attempt will also cause it to either not boot or not read all of your RAM. Keep that in mind when reading the negative reviews. My only complaint is that when I upgraded the BIOS, there is now a long 15 second delay before the POST begins. The only thing I would change is to either add a couple more SATA ports or make the JMicron ports so you can use them as you see fit versus the canned configurations. You can disable the JMicron controller, but it also disables the ports altogether along with the IDE port (in my experience.) However, the lack of ports is really a non-issue. Just buy a higher end board.

Bad MB
Comment:
Sorry to say that I've read a lot of bad reviews about this MB while researching why it wasn't working. BIOS will not even boot even in a bare bones test. Bottom line is, my board is bad. So, Value was good, until I found out the pain that I'd go through. Features, we'll that's why I bought it, but then I couldn't use any of them. And as for Quality and Performance goes, I got ZERO performance which is indicative of ZERO quality.

Very Nice Motherboard.
Comment:
I used this MB in a system I built about three months ago. Installed 6 GB of DDR3 memory on this. So far, it has been absolutely flawless in performance. Comes with great documentation.

Lost all faith in this brand of pc parts
Comment:
These MOBOs did not work. For those of you all wanting to place 12gb of RAM in these be warned. I bought 2 of these and on both boards I couldn't get channel B to work on either board. Cust support for this brand is a joke. They know of the common problem with these models but havent tried to correct it. It can not be fixed with a bios flash because their website is down and still is down. Pick a different brand and save yourself the headache.

Terrible
Comment:
ASUS no longer cares about quality. Either won't boot, won't access all ram, blue screens, hangs etc. I was at one time a die hard ASUS retailer, I now use only Gigabyte. Inexspensive and will do everything that the ASUS boards do without the hassel. My present system with least costly Gigabyte board is overclocked to 4.6 Gig amd runs great.

Comment:
The asus P6T didn't have a good start. First it wouldn't even take it's own driver disk. Second, I down loaded everything on Asus's stite for The board and Windows 7 64 bit. Now I'm locked out from doing basic tuning in windows and in the bios. Asus claimed that board was flakey and to send it back. I'll try it one more time. If it fails, then I'm off to a different board.

For those of you that dont read the specs
Comment:
in order to get all 12GB of RAM you need to be running a 64-bit OS not a 32-Bit because if you run a 32-Bit OS you will only get 4GB of RAM

Good Motherboard
Comment:
This was a replaement for an MSI motherboard that had problems. So far it has been rock solid, I updated the bios and installed 6 gigs of memory. I have not so far had any of the problems described in the previous rviews. I love the express gate, it loads windows in no time. I am very happy with this motherboard and I would highly recommend it.

Extremely bad Motherboard ( Stay Away)
Comment:
This motherboard is Extrememly bad, tech support is horriable, When installed the board was only detecting 4gig of 12gigs of memory, come to find out that the board has bad memory slots. Didn't now but this board is prone to bad slots.

Very disappointed
Comment:
I always saw ASUS as a brand I can trust and rely on. My first motherboard from 4 years ago had faulty fans that ended up melting within a year (no over clocking). This one, as others have complained about, has a problem reading all of the RAM. With all six 2GB sticks, it only reads 8GB. When I remove A2, it reads 10GB. I read a missaligned pin was causing this, and I couldn't find one anywhere when I looked in the CPU socket. I rather not RMA as it would leave me over 2 weeks without a computer. This is the last ASUS board I will ever buy. If not for the issue with the RAM, this would have been an awsome board.

I always buy asus motherboards. Read all the bad online reviews, bad boards do happen.i ordered one. Yup ! bad ram slots out of the box, Rma the board to tiger, another on the way. if the second board is bad i will upgrade to the classified, take it from a asus only board guy. Stay away from it ! it's time, money wasted to get a working board

ASUS P6T ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:ubuntu 9.10 won't boot. reverted to 8.04 LTS.ALC1200 audio appears to be proprietary windows-only driver. I needed to compile and install realtek driver package just to use alc883 emulation (stereo).

Pros:virtually silent with an i7-920 and a nh-u12p cooler.
Comment:
odd location (back of board) for front USB header - causes problems with short cables.I had this built by ncix, sans HDD and DVD, as I have any of those kicking around home.

Great Buy
Comment:
This mother board runs like a dream, and thing you can throw at it it can handle. Stable mother board, excellent BIOS as expected from an ASUS board, love the express gate option, which allows you to boot into skype, aim, or even the internet via a linux based system within 5 seconds of hitting power on your computer. Great buy. Im running SLI, SSD drives, and of course and i7 cpu and I have run into absolutely no problems. Buy this mother board.
