Asus is the best
Comment:
This board seem good quality that but runs a little hot under SLI I had to add a fan to the bridge between the PCIE cards to keep it below 140F the power managment software in not Vista certified and you get the UAC prompt every time but it runs well after that. The motherboard won't come out of standby so i just shut it off and I am working on a solutiion. either drivers or Bios setting but I think i have them all right. It may just be something I have to live with for a while.

ASUS P6T ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:16x16x4 PCI-E

Pros:Really easy over clocker and great clocks. 6 USB headers on MB.
Comment:
Originally had a EVGA X58 SLI, I loved it, but it was soo hokey decided to just go another route.. Glad I did!! Way easier to overclock, way stabler. The P6T has really good overclock recovery. Never have to reset the CMOS! I LOVE THAT!!! Got my P6T off of eBay from NCIX Outlet, open box bid.. Originally never worked, but I kind of expected that... RMA, NCIX is sooo awesome, I love those guys(and gals) really easy to deal with, hence why I always buy from them... I'm just amazed how much faster this thing is than my EVGA, clock for clock plus it overclocks better!!!

GREAT BOARD FOR FIRST BUILD
Comment:
First time build, so all did not go fast, but once I got it right, everything worked and board exceeds expectations. So far system consists of 12gig corsair ddr3, geforce 9800 video, two seagate 500gig sata's set up in raid with a samsung 1 tera as backup, corsair tx 850 ps and a pioneer internal CD/DVD all in a coolermaster 932 case. Still building but love it so far.

ASUS P6T ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:- Rather hot, not enough cooling

Pros:- Board Layout- Quality and accessories such as pin adapters and Q-Shield (backplate installation made easier)- Price- Resistors on the board are smaller compared to my old AMD motherboard
Comment:
This board is very well made with quality it overclocks well but heat could be an issue if there's not enough airflow in your case so add some fans to compensate with the passive cooling on the board This review was modfied by poster @ 09-03-09 09:48 PM

I'm impressed
Comment:
I've used a succession of ASUS motherboards over time and this is the first I7. The P6T board, Coolermaster case, and Thermaltake powersupply are a perfect combination. The system is rock solid stable and very quick. A huge step up from the Pentium 4.

RMA: third time's a charm???
Comment:
As of today, I'm shipping out my third RMA on the P6T... These boards seem to have issues with the 3 "B" memory slots... I have 12GB of patriot ram... However, if anything other than "A" is populated, the thing freezes, reboots, or blue screens... I've tried this board using different drives, Operating Systems, and have even RMA'd my memory... This is my second board as well... I fear after this RMA, I'll end up trashing it, and going with a different brand... By the way, I purchased it in may and it's mid August - still no resolution...

Hangs Up / Freezes
Comment:
I bought this motherboard about a month ago with an Intel Core i7-920 processor, 12 GB of Patriot memory, 2 Hitachi 1TB hard drives, Ultra 750W power supply, a Cooler Master V8 CPU fan, and an Ultra M923 full tower. The system was easy to put together and seemed to be extremely fast. I have been having problems with hang ups and freezes which required a forced reboot. I have seen a couple of other reviews where other people are experiencing the same problems. I am thinking about sending back this motherboard and getting an Intel or EVGA board. I really don't want to have to send this back as I like the overclocking features this board has to offer at a really decent price, but there is no sense in keeping this board for these features when I haven't been able to even try overclocking the board because I keep experiencing system hang ups without having tried to overclock the machine. Because I am a newbie at building I have taken it in to be looked at and was unable to find the problem.

great board but hangs at boot 1 out of 10
Comment:
I have the latest BIOS (Must have) Windows 7 RC Ultimate X64. maxed out RAM, Raid 2 TB. And this board handles all of this pretty good. The only complaint I would have about this board is that 1 out of every 10 bootups the board hangs at post. I dont see this as a HW issue. I am waiting for another BIOS release to address this issue and as soon as this happens my performance rating would be a 5 (instead of a 3) This board is easy to OC, I love the ASUS Turbo V (directly from OS without a reboot). The board stays relatively cool. I have always been an ASUS fan.

Far superior to anything on the market today!
Comment:
Built this with the Core i7 920 CPU, 12 GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB WD Green Caviar drive and an older PCIe x16 video card with 1GB DDR2 RAM. I'm not a gamer, and I don't get into OC'ing, but this thing flat out hauls ass! Running Win 7 RC x64 and after windows boots up, it's only using 1.2 GB memory at idle. I haven't begun to stress test it yet, but I'll be using it with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, and there's no doubt in my mind that it will handle my digital editing needs with ease! The reason for the markdown on quality is because I had to return the MB due to the fact that it would only recognize 8 of the 12 GB of RAM. The new one recognizes all memory, and I'm completely satisfied with the product as well as the exchange process.

ASUS P6T ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:None

Pros:Im really impress with this board, its got lots of cool features like EPU6-Engine, express gate.
Comment:
I originally wanted the p6t Deluxe V2, the heat sink for the north bridge looks a lot better than the one for the P6t. But I got this one cause of the great deal with the 920 D0, and I never regret it since.

Loved This Board
Comment:
So This was my first build and this board is nice. It comes with alot of nice features. I have a Thermaltake ArmorPlus(Armor+) VH6000BWS, and a Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler, and it managed all to fit with this board. The on board power controls are no big but they are nice. I will say again I love all the little programs it comes with. This is a good board and a good buy. I am an amature when it comes to stressing a computer, so I havn't pushed this board but someone told me it would be good, for clocking and such.

ASUS P6T ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:What weaknesses?

Pros:Looks greatVery stableLayout is superb
Comment:
Not the cheapest out there, but you definitely get what you pay for. Before you assume your ethernet port is broken, you should make sure you install the LAN drivers from the DVD provided with the motherboard. Overall, the Asus P6T is a very good board.
