ASUS P8Z68-V PRO ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:-No debug LED
Pros:-Lots of feature-Well built-No push screws-Well cooled-Good oc-er Comment:
Awesome board. Nothing to complain about for now. Just missing a debug led which can really cut time when facing crashes. I had a problem with my hardrive and yes there is a LED telling me there is a problem but I have to figure out what it is. Turns out I didn't use my marvel 6gb ports and they were enabled.Really good board overall. Too many features for me. |

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:Most users probably won't make use of all the new features.
Pros:Lots of features, overclocking couldn't be any easier Comment:
My videocard was DOA, luckily the board had integrated GPU so i could still use my pc while I was waiting for RMA. Besides during that period, I don't use Lucid Virtu or SSD caching. I might one day when the two technologies are perfected or my pc usage changes. I mostly game atm. |

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:none
Pros:Solid overclockerGood positioning of sata ports Comment:
Got this along with a 2600k and overclocking has been almost too easy. I liked the layout allowing to sli later and still keep my sound card. The positioning of the sata ports was a big improvement over my old mobo where the gpu would block several ports. Construction seems excellent, should last me a long time. |

Very Easy upgrade coming from intel 775mobo.Liked how well it fit in my case. gigabyte 6970 fit nicely.New graphic bios is cool took couple minutes to figure it out. Changed achi to raid to get my raid 0 array to recognize.Easyily oc the i2500k to 4.3ghzRecognized 1600mhz ram right away. And oc it.Look forward to using the lucid chip soon.I can highly recomend this ASUS mobo best I've had and Ive had alot. Now usb 3.0 flashes need to get cheaper. ASUS P8Z68-V PRO ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:If only the USB 3.0 cable was a 3.5" bay...
Pros:Overclocking becomes a breeze, even for first time users.EPU and TPU for those who don't wish to venture into manual OCing, whilst saving some power. Comment:
This is my first motherboard as for my first build. I honestly didn't know how to do anything, I even fried a cable by accident but luckily warranty saved me from losing a few hundred bucks. Anyways, this motherboard was well worth the cash, and allows anyone to get the best of their components. |

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:- SATA connectors face off to the right of the board and made installation and connecting within my case difficult due to clearance issues
Pros:- Good set of on board features- Supports DUAL monitors via on-board Video (1 DVI 1 VGA) Comment:
Really nice board, almost everything but the SATA connectors are well positioned. The Diagnostic LEDs make a lot of sense and I like that it has a built in power and reset button that can be pushed with your fingers easily.Building a budget system I was surprised to find that the on board video could support dual monitor and made use of it with my old monitor as a secondary.Unless you are control freak I would suggest just downloading the Intel NIC driver from the ASUS website to kick start your install, and leave ALL of the ASUS bundled tools out, you can get all of the chip-set, sound and video drivers from the ASUS website separately to keep your system fee of the other junk. The BIOS has a NIC GUI, it is very easy to navigate and find options. |

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:-A bit pricey-No RAID for SATA6Gbps or SATA Gen 3, whichever you want to call it. Only RAID on 3.0, which kind of dissapointed me. But im not sure how many MOBO's support that.
Pros:-Working out of box. Thats always a good sign, right?-ASUS OC option works well for finding OC starting points-Lots of space on the MOBO for expansions-Pretty awesome looking-RAID worked out of box as well even without drivers needing to be installed.-Complete computer started up without any hassles at all. Even loaded drivers that worked with the WIFI card I installed, so I could set up directly on the computer, which saves a lot of time Comment:
Picked this up with a i7 2600k, Corsair Vengeance RAM, Corsair H80, and EVGA GTX 570. Worked right away. Easiest setup for a computer I've done in a long time. |

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:None
Pros:Great performanceSolid, no crashingBuilt in video output8 sata ports (would have still liked more though)USB 3.0 Comment:
Bought this for my new build. I wanted something with on board video so I didn't need to buy a graphics card and create more heat in my room. So far it's worked great and I've had no crashes yet. I would have liked more sata ports. You'd think 8 would be enough, but when you run a cable for a front esata port and the optical drive it only leaves room for 6 drives so 2-4 more ports would have been nice. Not much else to say, it's a nice looking board that does what it's supposed to do. |

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:Driver disk includes Norton crapware
Pros:Great motherboard except for driver disk Comment:
When you install drivers you are face with an annoying choice: either "install all" which installs some Norton crapware (without a choice to disable) or manually install each of the nine required drivers one by one. If Asus didn't whore itself to Symantec you would be able to install all the drivers in one shot without the Norton crapware tagging along. Because of this nonsense, I'm deducting two stars from what would otherwise be an excellent motherboard. |

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:AI Suite on disk did not work for me without downloading a fix on the internet
Pros:Great overclockingLooks greatCompatible with older hardwareGood amount of accessories Comment:
Have this motherboard with an i5 2500k, Antec 620, and G.skill Ripjaws X 1600mhz CL9 8GB.The set up is incredible and would recommend. Especially at the $386 combo NCIX had earlier! Holy savings! |
The auto OC tuner feature is useful. Once press enter, the motherboard try to OC the CPU automatically. Reboot about twice before it find the setting. Maybe I had one hell of a time trying to overclock the i7 950 with the ASUS P6X58D-e to 4.0ghz. Anyway, wouldn't mind to spend the extra money for the P8Z68 Deluxe motherboard but lack DVI + VGA output. Guess don't really need all that extra stuff the deluxe has to offer anyway.- UEFI BIOS marketing (nothing new, there are Pentium I AMI bios motherboard that used mouse input way back in the 90s. SLI is 3DFX's with the Voodoo2 cards. EV1 is GM's first electric car, had better mileage then the JAP, the project cancel then destroyed(1) and now hybrid and hydrogen fuel. Revolutionary UEFI BIOS with mouse input. What a joke.)(1) Who killed the electric cars?
