ASUS PB238Q 23IN Widescreen IPS LCD Monitor 1920X1080 6MS 80M:1 HDMI DVI DisplayPort w/ Speakers
Cons:built in speakers
Pros:Really good colour, every connection you could want Comment:
I use it in an office environment. The colour is good and it is easy to read. The on screen menu is even laid out in a reasonably effective manner. The speakers are there to make alert noises and no more. I am planning on by more for the office. |

ASUS PB238Q 23IN Widescreen IPS LCD Monitor 1920X1080 6MS 80M:1 HDMI DVI DisplayPort w/ Speakers
Cons:Only 1080p, speakers are mediocre at best, no headphone jack
Pros:Fantastic screen, height adjustable, lots of inputs, good warranty, every cable but HDMI Comment:
The Asus monitors are some of the best I have used in recent years. This 23inch monitor gives slightly better, crisper images than the 24inch version even though it is only 1080p (the PA246/8 is 1920x1200). It has built-in speakers (for what they are worth) but strangely no headphone out jack. To be honest, it would have been better if Asus had left the speakers out altogether. There are a few USB ports (only 2.0) with 2 on the side. Better is the height adjustable stand and the fact it comes with every cable but HDMI - there is even an Asus cable tie.The final thing is a 3 year warranty and zero dead pixel guarantee. Not sure what Asus are like for dealing with warranty issues, but so far these monitors have been great (ordered several over the last few months).Would highly recommend - especially in an office environment. |

ASUS PB238Q 23IN Widescreen IPS LCD Monitor 1920X1080 6MS 80M:1 HDMI DVI DisplayPort w/ Speakers
Cons:I wish I had told my family about the PA248Q which is 1920x1200
Pros:A great monitor at a good price; great specs. I especially like the side usb ports the fully adjustable height and swivel. Nice and bright. Comment:
I received the PB238Q for Christmas after giving my family a few monitors to select from. For whatever reason I never found the PA248Q in my Xmas-list building searches and I really wish I had as its a 1920x1200. NCIX wouldn't do an exchanges citing its in their return policy; ( wow - long list of exceptions in that policy). I should have told my family to not buy from NCIX but from Amazon who have a great return policy. My mistake. |

ASUS PB238Q 23IN Widescreen IPS LCD Monitor 1920X1080 6MS 80M:1 HDMI DVI DisplayPort w/ Speakers
Cons:Slightly bulkier than non IPS displays.
Pros:Colour quality, stand, features, no glare. Comment:
Bought one of these a year ago and couldn't resist getting a second one. Even the price seems to be holding for the most part. Well worth the investment. |

ASUS PB238Q 23IN Widescreen IPS LCD Monitor 1920X1080 6MS 80M:1 HDMI DVI DisplayPort w/ Speakers
Cons:None yet
Pros:Feels like a solid quality built monitor. Display looks great; bright and crisp. Comment:
I have to admit I bought this monitor for the stand, and the fit and finish. Adjustable in every way, non-scratch surface (big plus), solid and heavy. Also tons of inputs, USB outputs, and hey there is speakers too. Did a lot of comparison shopping at all the stores around Vancouver. |

ASUS PB238Q 23IN Widescreen IPS LCD Monitor 1920X1080 6MS 80M:1 HDMI DVI DisplayPort w/ Speakers
Cons:Bezel is a bit large
Pros:Lot of input. Clean picture. Best for intensive usage. Comment:
I own 4 screens like this one and they all work properly. Even if they are IPS panel they don't have any ghosting issue (the image doesn't burn into the panel). They have natural color and they are not very reflective, so you can use them in a bright environment (near a window). Ideal for work (like programming) mine are setup to a pretty low brightness and I can work for 12 hours on them without any issue. |
Strictly from a picture quality standpoint, this is a decent monitor. The image is bright and crisp. Everything else about it is sub-par; the case looks like it's made from recycled plastic, the base is too light and spins instead of staying in place when you rotate the screen, and the buttons are horribly small and hard to press. I have a 21.5" Dell IPS (U2211H) that is so much better from a quality standpoint, with a similar picture (and better response time when gaming).
